Where are the Prime Ministers before Kappeyne van de Coppello? Känsterle 07:46, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I see your point, and you are right that the prime minister before Kappeyne are missing, but I would implore you, next time to use less drastic means. Please do not put a "the factual accuracy of this section is disputed" in the template, but on the talkpage. And you could also have spent your time editing the template or the articles, instead of putting up template: you could have solved the problem yourself!
Finally, substantive: the position of prime minister was not codified well, it was put in the constitution in 1983, and prime ministers were normal minister (of foreign or home affairs) until 1937, before Kuyper (1901-1905) there is considerable constitutional unclarity what the prime minister was. The chairpersonship of cabinet rotated on a yearly basis, and the primus inter pares, the strong man of the cabinet, who lacked constitutional backing, was often the formateur. For more information, see this parlement.com discussion of the PM especially the fifth paragraph. Quite honestly I would like to see all "prime ministers" befor 1901 off this template, because they weren't prime minister, constitutionally speaking. C mon 08:59, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well one can certainly include the Deputy President of the Conseil d'Etat from 1814 on. The historic development can be put into the Prime Minister of the Netherlands article. Intangible 05:14, 1 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
