Celer is a global financial software company that creates modular-based systems that have the flexibility to meet today’s dynamic business environment.

History

Celer was founded in 2011 in London by Ben Cuthbert and Scott Sue. After a period of testing, version 1.0.0 of the software was released on 15 January 2013 for linux. Celer was quickly adopted by London based brokerage firms for DMA and Derivative trading.

Current and future usage

The aim of Celer is to be used by traders, hedge funds and financial services firms. Celer is always improving modules with the introduction of a Clearing STP module in 2013 that will match and allocate trades.

Competitors

There are proprietary competitors such as Flextrade, Portware and IQBroker, Trading Technologies, Trading Screen, in addition to ultra-low-latency trading systems such as Bloomberg and Reuters.
