Tropical Cyclone Niran is an intensifying tropical cyclone located over the Coral Sea, off the coast of Far North Queensland, Australia.

On the afternoon of 26 February 2021, the Australian Bureau of Meteorology reported that a weak tropical low had formed over the northern Coral Sea, offshore from Cape Flattery in Far North Queensland, Australia.[1] The system was embedded within a gradually strengthening monsoon trough stretching from Cape York Peninsula to the northwestern Coral Sea.
