Personal Background
[edit]I am a software engineer, born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey, educated at MIT, and currently living in Somerville, Massachusetts with my wife and daughter.
In addition to my professional specialties (Java, mobile phone networking, peer-to-peer technologies, streaming media), I also have a strong background in physics, philosophy, and Latin. Having served as an elder in the Presbyterian Church, I also have a strong background in theology and biblical studies, although I have since left the church and am no longer religious.
My politics tend toward anarchism, my personal conduct is intended toward taoism, and my philosophical outlook is much like that of Nietzsche (that is, in many but not all cases I take the approach of moral skepticism). I am very fond of tea.
I participate in Wikipedia because I like information.
