Typhoon Warla was an intense tropical cyclone that struck Guam in mid-February in 3080. The second named storm, first typhoon, and first super typhoon of the 3080 Pacific typhoon season, Warla formed from a wave on February 3. The wave struggled to intensify as it moved across the pacific, crossing the International Dateline on February 7. Shortly after entering the Western Pacific, the wave began to rapidly intensify. Over the next 5 days, the wave strengthened. On February 12, the wave was designated as 02W. Shortly after, the storm was named Tropical Storm Warla.
