Here's the Wiki Image Uploader. God knows why this isn't easier to find. It should be in the editing toolbar.

A belated welcome!

[edit]
Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Hellboybookeeper. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! hmssolent\Let's convene My patrols 01:55, 4 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I really need those links! I am still very much learning the ropes. I just finished putting together The Black Beetle (Dark Horse Comics). I hope it's OK.

A beer for you!

[edit]
Welcome! WP has a steep learning curve, and some editors will criticize and bite you if you mess something up - don't take it too hard. Others will support you and offer good advice. Feel free to ask at my talk page for advice if it's every necessary. Cheers! AstroCog (talk) 20:03, 11 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'll keep that in mind. My coding is pretty poor.

License tagging for File:Black Beetle 12-4-2006.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Black Beetle 12-4-2006.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:06, 13 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello - While you are correct that the link in question is 'official', the reason to have External Links in a Wikipedia article is to supplement the article with more information, not to boost the article subject's sales. Links to stores do nothing to enhance the article.

For more information, you may want to read the External Links policy. The point specifically addressing this issue can be found at item #5 here: Wikipedia:EL#Links_normally_to_be_avoided. But, with a general understanding of the external links policy, you can know when a link is appropriate 99% of the time without having to consult a list. --SubSeven (talk) 17:05, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Black Beetle 12-4-2006.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Black Beetle 12-4-2006.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 09:58, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I visited the page, but I can't find the box I'm supposed to write this info in. I used the wizard to post it. The wizard should've put this stuff in for me.

I don't know what information you require either. It's the first appearance of the Black Beetle in an article about the Black Beetle. That is fair use. What more information do you need?

I don't have a clue what I'm doing. I just copied and pasted what I think you want from another image's page and changed the info. Isn't there an easier way to do this when it's uploaded in the first place?

Every time I have to upload an image (which is very infrequently) I have to go on this big search to find out how to upload it. Could you give me a link to a simple uploader, complete with a wizard that asks me for the info it needs, so I don't have to go through all this again?

Here's an emoticon

[edit]

The emoticon is '_'

Enlarged:

00 00
00 00

   =======

It is a positive or neutral reaction to something.

That seems appropriate.--Hellboybookeeper (talk) 23:36, 1 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Head Lopper, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Andrew MacLean. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Lazarus table suggestion

[edit]

I've made a mockup for a different table style in my sandbox. It omits the ISBNs (available in the infobox) and the bonus materials for the hardcovers (discuss in prose?). If you like this format, I think we could move the table from the PH section to the Plot sub-section. If you'd like to add some color bands (I'm not familiar with using them) or make other suggestions, don't hesitate to edit the sandbox directly. Argento Surfer (talk) 17:19, 31 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have filled it out some more. The sourcebooks fit into it fine for now, but I believe they will need to be relocated once the 3rd hardcover is announced. I'm also not 100% certain how the upcoming miniseries will fit into it. Thoughts? Argento Surfer (talk) 14:00, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ways to improve Isola (comics)

[edit]

Hi, I'm Nick Moyes. Hellboybookeeper, thanks for creating Isola (comics)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. We need independent and reliable third-party sources to demonstrate the notability of this comic book series - not just links to interviews and promo.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Nick Moyes (talk) 13:02, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Considering the book isn't out until April, I don't think the article can meet the notability criteria at this time. —Hellboybookeeper (talk) 19:03, 21 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thanks for your work keeping the articles on Avatar and Korra comics updated. The infoboxes don't need to be so detailed as to include assistants though, especially if they aren't notable (i.e. no Wikipedia article). Bennv3771 (talk) 13:31, 14 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've kept the assistants out, but otherwise reinstated my changes so that it matches the Avatar OGNs. —Hellboybookeeper (talk) 22:52, 14 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:17, 15 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Dark Horse Presents 8 - The Massive cover.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Dark Horse Presents 8 - The Massive cover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:12, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eleven

[edit]

Hello Hellboybookeeper, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eleven, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eleven.

Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Chris troutman}}. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

(Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

I've been out of the loop with Buffy for a long time. I don't think my input would be very useful. But thanks for letting me know. Hellboybookeeper (talk) 04:11, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
