Fiber (rope) rainbow art is a novel[1] art form created by Mandi Smethells in late 2017[2]. The basic construction consists of wrapping yarn, or other material, around rope stiffened by wire prior to being attached together to make the final form[3]. The colors used to construct the rainbow range from the classic ROYGBIV to neutrals and a variety of finishing details are added (e.g., knots, trim, etc.).
