Hello, I am Rosuacamus. I registered on Wikipedia in May 2024 with the aim of writing a series of articles about stage musicals in Korea. The market size of musicals in Korea is approximately 25% of that of Broadway. There are distinct differences between them. The usual time span for a single show in Korea is three months, with multiple castings for protagonists, allowing theatergoers to choose their preferred combination of cast members. The venues are relatively new compared to Broadway or the West End, often featuring wide prosceniums.

I have been watching Broadway shows whenever possible, but during COVID-19, I began attending licensed musicals of Broadway shows in Korea. It seems that while K-pop is now well-known, Korean musicals, which have a comparable domestic market size, are not as recognized.

I've written two articles about actors to start with, trying to learn how to write good articles while I gather statistics on various aspects of stage musicals in Korea.

I have a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from a university in the USA (we have a really great football team, which lost twice in 2023, alas!). After writing articles about musicals, I might consider writing articles about chemistry, but I already write enough about chemistry in my day job.
