Hi, This is the user page for Si - here you will find most of the details that you will need for flaming me later. A little about myself first, I'm a 23 year-old Anthropology graduate from London, with pretty heavy interests in Mathematics, Spaceflight (Astrodynamics), Aviation, IT and Theoretical Physics. A little more in line with my educational background is my interest in Language, Politics, Religion, The Middle East and Ancient History, although my background prior to university is focused more on Mathematics and Physics.

I'm also a Cricket fan (Test, not that dirty one-day crap), I also play Snooker and have a passing interest in Rugby (Union).

It turns out I'm a postmodernist. That was a shock. Heh.

You scored as 'Postmodernist. Postmodernism is the belief in complete open interpretation. You see the universe as a collection of information with varying ways of putting it together. There is no absolute truth for you; even the most hardened facts are open to interpretation. Meaning relies on context and even the language you use to describe things should be subject to analysis.

OK, this is my begging bit: If anybody has any good, neutral sources for the oldest continually-inhabited settlements on Earth, please can they put them into this or let me know - I wanted to delete the list (as unverifyable)but was overruled by the people at AfD, who seemed to feel that it was better to say something that (I think) was somewhat unverifyable than nothing at all - so, I tried to tidy up the page, changed the name and generally make it worthwhile having - the problem being that the sources are pretty hard to come by - the data there at present is taken from the wiki page of the city in question, I am hoping they will have some better sources and I will go check soon.

Otherwise, personal begging - if anyone wants to have a run-through any Turkish, or Urdu (I'm holding off on the Russian til I get my books back off a 'friend') and doesn't mind dealing with a complete cretin who cant ever get his Turkish sentence structure right, and keeps using the wrong gender in Urdu, please get in touch - I could really use the practice and all I'm getting at the moment is a few words to the odd stranger (usually when I'm drunk). Of course Hebrew and Arabic speakers are welcome to come and talk too, it's just that I can live with my standard in those languages for the time being.
