Academic

[edit]

He graduated with a degree in Administration from the Argentine University of Enterprise / UADE University (1979), which was revalidated by the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) (1981)[1]. He obtained his Master’s degree in International Economic Policy at the University of Belgrano (1988), years later he obtained his Doctorate in Political Science (2018) at the University of Belgrano.

He was a professor of economic analysis at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He currently is a postgraduate professor at UBA and at UADE Business School[2]. In 2002, he published a 123-page volume called "ARGENJAPAN’S" with the purpose of restructuring Argentina’s external debt. In it, he outlines his philosophy of investment and corporate management based on a life of observation, analysis, and practical application through his experience with Toshiba’s representative firm in Argentina. After this work, he wrote five more books. In 2003, he appeared at the National Congress of San Luis, receiving a diploma of honor among the most influential people of leadership in Argentina by IDEIA.

He is often invited to give lectures and to speak at numerous forums in Argentina and in foreign countries such as the Getulio Vargas Foundation and the Pan American Health Organization. He worked as a general advisor on the “R & D- Faculty of Economic Sciences - UBA” report.

Career

[edit]

As a business executive, he worked as a general manager at Saccol-Panasonic (1982 - 1885) and El Buen Inversor-JVC (1985 - 1989). He held the position of Financial Manager at Molino Cañuelas (1989-1991), and years later he would again be working for the Toshiba Realmac company as an executive vice president (1995 - 1998). He was executive of leading companies in different sectors such as Lebonfante Chicago, IL., U.S.; Molino Cañuelas, Marshall, and Yelmo.

Since 1994, he has been the general manager of Hacer (founded in 1982), a transdisciplinary consultancy, through which he works as an advisor and a consultant for national and international companies (Andreani, Banco Ciudad, Banco de la Nación, Banco Provincia, Falabella, HP, Volkswagen, Telefónica, Adidas, SURA, among others). His work is a nation-wide reference used by other consultants as a second reference for their work, as well as by academics, trade unionists, legislators, judges, and entrepreneurs.

In 1999, he called for a reform of the Argentine economy and described wealth inequality as a national emergency. In November 2002, he published an article stating that speculative excess capital, convertibility, indebtedness, and twin deficits, together with technocracy, had created the conditions for a disaster, and he called for a "change of social-economic paradigm".

He was the chief economist of the Esperanza Foundation, a founding partner of the Argentine Forum of Foreign Trade, a member of the Argentine Institute of Financial Executives (IAEF); a member of the Council of Economic Sciences and the College of Economic Sciences.
