Kiyomi Kobayashi (born March 25, 1978) is a Japanese/American musician, singer and songwriter known under the mononym Kiyomi.
Life and career
[edit]Kiyomi was born to Masahisa and Yoko Kobayashi in Queens, New York. Kiyomi attended Irvington High School (New York) in Westchester, New York, where she won the "Best Musician's Award".[1] After high school she attended New York University as a classical voice major, and State University of New York at Purchase for composition.[1] In the spring of 2008, her EP "A Part of Me" was featured in an interview by J-Pop World,[2] and she later went on to perform the title track from the EP on The Rhythms of New York.[3]
