Wayne Cooper[edit]

Wayne Cooper is the co-founder and Executive Chairman of Chief Executive Group, which serves the CEO, Board of Directors and senior executive communities. The company publishes Chief Executive (magazine) as well as Corporate Board Member (magazine) and produces conferences, research and peer communities for CEOs, Boards of Directors, CFOs and other senior executives. The company also owns Chief Executive Network, Chief Executive Coaching and the CFO Leadership Council.

Wayne is a serial entrepreneur and 5 time CEO who built several leading B2B information companies before Chief Executive Group: Kennedy Information (sold to Bloomberg BNA[1]), Vizium (sold to Aegis[2]), Bongarde (still own), Pyramid Research (sold to UBM[3]), and The Institute of Finance and Management (sold to Diversified Communications[4]).

He also served as a member of the board of Directors of Cicoil and Fifth Street Asset Management before their successful sales to strategic acquirers, and he is an operating partner at Greenhaven Partners.

Before becoming an operator and CEO, Wayne was a strategy consultant with Bain & Co, and Monitor Company. He is a graduate of Stanford University (BA) and Harvard Business School (MBA).
