Request reason:

Sorry for my mistakes. In the future this will not happen again

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 11:31, 2 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Yamla. I understand what I have been blocked for. I will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and will make useful contributions. Thank's for attention. --Бучач-Львів (talk) 12:06, 2 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yamla. I very much regret that I broke the rules before. You see that I created 60 articles. Thank's for attention. --Бучач-Львів (talk) 12:49, 2 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You need to explain what it is you were blocked for and why we can trust you won't do so again. Just saying you understand isn't sufficient. You have to convince us you understand. --Yamla (talk) 12:56, 2 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Yamla. I was blocked for Wikipedia:Disruptive editing. For Wikipedia:Edit warring and others brokes the rules. I want to refine my articles and some about Ukraine and Ukrainians a little. My plans are not to conflict with anyone. --Бучач-Львів (talk) 13:05, 2 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
This is nowhere near sufficient. Please reread WP:GAB. I will not be responding further. --Yamla (talk) 13:08, 2 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
OK. --Бучач-Львів (talk) 13:23, 2 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Liz: Hi! I think that the category should exist. The question is who will improve. I could have finalized the category, but, unfortunately, it is still blocked (for almost 7 years), and my requests for unblocking were, for reasons I do not understand, rather sharply ignored ... --Бучач-Львів (talk) 07:47, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@GiantSnowman: Hi! Thank you for writing a few words about Volodymyr Mulyava (Volodymyr Muliava). But... Please remember! If a person is Ukrainian, then his name is Volodymyr (ukr. Володимир), and not Vladimir at all (because it's a Russian name - Владимир)! Thank you for your attention. Good luck! --Бучач-Львів (talk) 06:54, 24 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I used 'Volodymyr'... GiantSnowman 06:44, 25 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@GiantSnowman: You didn’t even read such a short text of the article. --Бучач-Львів (talk) 06:38, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
you're not making any sense - in the stub I created, I use 'Volodymyr'. you say I should use 'Volodymyr' because he is Ukranian. So what's the problem? GiantSnowman 07:07, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@GiantSnowman: If you don't want to do anything, then it's your right. Thank you for your attention. --Бучач-Львів (talk) 07:15, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Explain clearly what you expect me to do, or leave me alone. GiantSnowman 07:15, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@GiantSnowman: Thank you for your attention. I will no longer divert your attention on this matter. Good luck! --Бучач-Львів (talk) 07:20, 26 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Liz: Hello. You probably don't know that I'm banned indefinitely (in my opinion, unreasonably). --Бучач-Львів (talk) 06:24, 3 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ymblanter.
Google translate. Hello. I will answer in Russian, which I know much better than English. Thank you, but I do not understand why I am needed and how I can take part in this discussion. You know the rules well, so do what you think is right - I still can’t do anything, and I don’t see the point in it. I think you know the reason. --Бучач-Львів (talk) 13:12, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This is an automatic notification to the category creator, I had no idea it would be coming to you. Ymblanter (talk) 13:44, 12 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Drmies and Ymblanter:. Please correct the error and rename to Stan Baliuk. Here is the source. Thanks. --Бучач-Львів (talk) 14:58, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that he probably should be Baliuk, but all sources in the article list him as Baluik, so a RM is needed. Ymblanter (talk) 16:17, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ymblanter, please have a look--I created the redirect and placed a note in the article. There's more Baluiks than Baliuks in Google Books. Drmies (talk) 16:28, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I would say we are fine here, thanks. Ymblanter (talk) 16:42, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Drmies and Ymblanter:. Here is his autograph. At the moment, I think that the surname is written as Baluk, which is a Polish transliteration of the Ukrainian surname Балюк. Actually, one of my previous conflicts here on the English wiki was related to the fact that I insisted that in English the Ukrainian surname Падох should be written as Padokh, not Padoch. A photo of his hockey sweater with his surname written on the back would help us a lot. --Бучач-Львів (talk) 07:53, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Drmies:. My search results show that Baliuk rather than Baluik predominates in Google Books. --Бучач-Львів (talk) 08:08, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Drmies:. although... I said that based on the fact that the search showed me 4 pages with option Stan Baliuk, and only 3 with option Stan Baluik. But on closer inspection, I noticed that you're right - there are more Stan Baluik. But... now I am convinced that option Baluik is a mistake, but unfortunately, it prevails in the sources... --Бучач-Львів (talk) 08:17, 2 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's how it goes. And I'll add that my "more sources" may also not stand up to scrutiny: the number of valid hits in a Google Books search is often wildly inaccurate. I have no doubt that you might well be correct in an originary sense, but with immigrants' last names it's often like this. Well, at least we have a redirect now. A tag has been placed on Ukrainian voice requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
