Welcome!

[edit]

Hi, דן ווולבו, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question.

However, there is a small issue with your username. As it is in a non-Latin alphabet script it may not display correctly for many other users. Although usernames like yours are not prohibited, Wikipedia's signature guideline and username policy encourage you, as a courtesy to other users, to alter your signature so that it also includes a transliteration of your username using Latin characters, so others can see it correctly. For the how-to of tailoring your username, please see WP:CUSTOMSIG.

Thanks, and feel free to message me about anything.

German basketball club names

[edit]

I see where you are shortening many basketball club names in player articles (such as "Telekom Baskets Bonn" to "Telekom Bonn" and "s.Olivier Baskets" to "s.Olivier." The problem is that even on German Wikipedia, these clubs are referred to by the full name. I understand that "Telekom Baskets Bonn" is like saying the Telekom Bonn basketball club, but no one that I can find actually refers to the team without "Baskets." Do you have some source you are working from or are you making an assumption? Rikster2 (talk) 01:20, 18 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks that you paid my attention. My sources are the teams themselves. I understood my mistakes. I won't change German basketball teams. דן ווולבו (talk) 09:03, 18 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I will take time and read the information which you suggested. דן ווולבו (talk) 22:01 18 June 2016 (UTC)
[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Democratic Centre (Italy), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Centre. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Party leaders

[edit]

Hello Dan. Thanks for your additions to the infoboxes for party leaders, but it would be much more helpful if you could actually list the timespans that the people were leaders for (see e.g. Mapai). Readers may be confused and think these are all current party leaders. Cheers, Number 57 16:10, 24 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ok, I understood. דן ווולבו (talk)12:33, 25 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, it's Left-wing/Right-wing, not Left-Wing/Right-Wing (wing isn't capitalised). Cheers, Number 57 12:00, 27 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Another tip – when you're adding multiple ballot letters to infoboxes, it appears as a mess because of the mix of text directions. To stop this, use the lrm template (see an example here). Cheers, Number 57 11:27, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I will use this tip. דן ווולבו (talk) 14:29, 4 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Could you also make sure you use spaces where necessary, i.e. "5 (2006)" or "(1997, 1998)" not "5(2006)" or "(1997,1998)". Cheers, Number 57 11:38, 8 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Itzik Cohen (footballer, born 1983). This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. GiantSnowman 19:06, 5 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
But I wrote that I have source. My source is the Hebrew version. דן ווולבו (talk) 22:11, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Moreover, It is written on page ofHapoel Kfar Saba F.C. that Itzik Cohen (footballer, born 1983) is a player of Hapoel Kfar Saba F.C.. I think that it is sourced enough. דן ווולבו (talk) 22:20, 5 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

F.C. Ashdod not Ironi

[edit]

Hey Dan! I saw you changed many articles of F.C. Ashdod's players in the present and in the past from F.C. Ashdod to Ironi Ashdod. It's wrong, Ironi Ashdod and F.C. Ashdod they are two different clubs. --Dardor5 (talk) 11:18, 14 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey. As I know, F.C Ashdod became F.C Ironi Ashdod. In the past there were two other groups: Maccabi Ironi Ashdod and Hapoel Ashdod who became F.C Ashdod. So please explain me why does it two different clubs? דן ווולבו (talk) 20:55, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Democratic Renewal Party (Angola). I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). If you have any questions, let me know! :-) You can respond on my talk page, or here. If you respond here, please include {{ping|zackmann08}} in your response so I am notified. --Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 16:38, 21 July 2016 (UTC) Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 23:49, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Spacing (again)

[edit]

Please make sure you use spaces when adding details to infoboxes. For instance on Twenty-eighth government of Israel, you have listed the head of state as Ezer Weizman(until 13 July 2000) and Moshe Kazav(ufter 13July 2000). There needs to be spaces after their names (and the correct spelling is Moshe Katzav). I have corrected several other infoboxes you have added, but it would be better if you could get it right when you add it! Thanks, Number 57 11:25, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
