Wikipedia does not concern itself with the wisdom or otherwise of the renaming; it concerns itself with stating the facts as they are. In this case, there has been a definite statement from the Minister of Health of the renaming (see citation [8]). Wikipedia does care about the impact of renaming Wikipedia articles on our readers. The renamed Wikipedia article provides the original name of the hospital in bold in the first sentence of the article, so the reader can be assured they are looking at the right article. If anyone searches for the article under the old name (in Wikipedia or Google) or clicks on an old link, e.g. Lady Cilento Children's Hospital, they will still be taken to the article, albeit renamed. People who know the old name will still get to the article, and the first sentence will reassure them they are at the appropriate article. If you disagree with the renaming decision, please lobby the Queensland Government. Wikipedia is not a place for lobbying. If you are successful in reversing the name change, the name of the Wikipedia article will be changed back again. Kerry (talk) 05:54, 21 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
