undid revisions of a history denier who wants to keep all the facts from being shown. One sided censorship is not what the country is about. Let all facts be known.
Thanks Tony! your additions were great - really enhanced the article. Funny - most people think the South is mainly white in origin but they dont know that many hispanics were here first - in fact in Florid and south alabama - the Alabama flag is in fact of origin from the Spanish flag the cross of burgundy that was used in alabama when it was the "new spain".
I am not hispanic but I am southern and like to understand all the historical facts about where I am from.

You are welcome. There are certain historical military events which have always fascinated me and the American Civil War is among them. I have visited several civil war related battlefields and cemeteries, plus about two weeks ago I visited the island of Alcatraz in San Francisc,o which was a fort and military prison during the Civil War. Take care, Tony the Marine (talk) 09:07, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi - Could you live with this short section which references to the Craig Harrison article and has lots of references containing lots useful information:
+++++++++++
The .338 Lapua Magnum cartridge was used in November 2009 by British sniper Corporal of Horse (CoH) Craig Harrison to establish a new record for the longest confirmed sniper kill in combat, at a range of 2,475 m (2,707 yd).[1][2][3][4][5][6]
The cartridge was also used by other snipers who received media attention for their achievements in long distance sniping.
+++++++++++
Such a short and neutral text can remain unchanged if future reports emerge about new records etc.
Please remind reported flight times of ≈ 3 seconds to 2,475 m can only be achieved under near vacuum conditions and can be attributed to journalists with no basic understanding regarding external ballistics.
In the longest recorded sniper kills article and the Accuracy International AWM L115A3 article section you can read what cartridges are issued by the British military. These are overpressure cartridges loaded with LockBase B408 very-low-drag bullets, but there are better projectile options for extreme range shooting with the .338 Lapua Magnum around.--Francis Flinch (talk) 10:18, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
