Information icon Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Konstantin Mereschkowski, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted.

You seem to be under the impression that there is a "correct" transliteration of Cyrillic, but (as the article makes completely clear) there are many possible transliterations, and for names from the period around 1900, it was not at all agreed which was the best one, and different spellings were used in different European countries anyway. Therefore, any attempt to insist that spelling A or B or C is "the right one" is entirely futile. In short, please stop, there are many things that need fixing on Wikipedia but this isn't one of them.

Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Do you have any explanation for editing numerous articles about Ukranian subjects changing them from Ukranian to Russian or replacing a Ukranian category with ″Of Russian descent″? The vague edit summary ″fixed error″ doesn't suffice here, this seems like POV pushing. --TylerBurden (talk) 07:48, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Fixed error" is a very poor explanation for removing sourced content,[1] and making other unsourced changes. Calling a change from "Bosnian" to "Serbian" a typo fix is downright deceptive. This IP has been blocked for three months. If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
