Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Information icon Hello, I'm Orville1974. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Steve Lawrence, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Marshall, Michigan, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. I'm sorry you are mistaken. Phone numbers are portable and have been for some time. There is no such thing as a local exchange. Please do not add that again to any article. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at Three Oaks, Michigan, you may be blocked from editing. There is no longer any such thing as a local exchange. A phone number with a specific second group of three digits can be anywhere in the area code, and numerous if not most numbers in a specific geographic area do not share that group of three digits. It's a dead concept that dates back to the days of only land line telephones and local mechanical switching, which ceased to be in the late 1900s. Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Moscow, Idaho. again with the "exchanges"? One more time....the second group of three digits in a US phone number has no geographic significance whatsoever and hasn't for over 25 years. Please stop this, or at a minimum, at least discuss it. It's a very fair assumption that any further insertion of "exchanges" in the "area code" parameter of Template:infobox settlement will result in the suspension of your editing privileges. Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Vaselineeeeeeee★★★ 13:49, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
