Boney M. singing or not singing (Talk page belonging to wiki page Boney M.)

[edit]

Baby, do you wanna bump was a full studio project and was on Dutch tv performed by only Bobby, Marcia and Maizie (the than 4th member, Claudja Barry just left the group). There came still so now and than songs with only singing Farian but normally you heard a vocal mix of Farian, Marcia and Liz. Liz did the most female vocals but Marcia had on the first albums even solo songs. Bobby was tested. Planned to let him sing No woman no cry. Not good enough and Farian decided probably than to stay the male studio singer for all songs. Maizie sang during the first recordings but her voice was fade away and was never recorded again (only on Train to Skaville during a pre edition which was sent out on tv during the promo film of their album Boonoonoonoos). Bobby did later the spoken intro of We kill the world and the rap of Train to Skaville and on Happy Song. They toured live but Maizie sang not or almost not during the concerts. Bobby had to do the some male vocals himself. Musicworldvision (talk) 22:40, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
