Hello, and thank you for your recent contributions. While the content of your edits may be true, I have removed it because its depth or nature of detail are not consistent with our objectives as an encyclopedia. Curiosity

[edit]

You're obviously an experienced user. Why the IP address? Just being nosy. WQUlrich (talk) 01:06, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

They are not that experienced. They just edited a sources list in my sandbox and I had to revert it. Storye book (talk) 17:52, 30 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"script-title" in citations

[edit]

Hey there. Regarding reverts like this: [1] Script-title shouldn't be used at all here. You can find instructions to use it at Help:Citation_Style_1#Titles_and_chapters. Essentially, script-title is used only if the original title is in a language that uses a script other than latin, like arabic, chinese, japanese. In the case of the edit I linked, it would be better to only have one title, like this. Thanks, ST47 (talk) 03:52, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism

[edit]

You have been vandalising Templates about governers, mayors and ministers of Somaliland nowadays, so have been warned about vandalism, stop doing this again instead you will be reported to the admins and get blocked Somalilander2019 (talk) 12:46, 24 March 2020 (UTC) [reply]

Somalilander2019, I have reviewed edits and concluded the were not vandalism. The IP editor fixed the links to missing or deleted templates as well as removed the spurious coloring per WP:DEVIATIONS. If you would like to discuss this further, we should probably use the various template talk pages. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 14:39, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

[edit]

I would use the thanks function for your edit to my userpage, but IPs can't be thanked for edits. So, manually it is. Mr rnddude (talk) 16:58, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mr rnddude, you're welcome. I more frequently get reverts and false vandalism warnings, so this is refreshing. Best wishes. 98.230.196.188 (talk) 17:00, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And thank you as well for this heads-up edit. Daniel Case (talk) 17:18, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Use "pushpin_map = Oklahoma#USA" and you'll get both maps. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:36, 14 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Hillelfrei. I noticed that you recently removed content from Peter Pan without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Is there a reason you replaced a fully-spelled-out word with an abbreviation? Abbreviations are impolite to the reader because the reader then has to figure out what the abbreviation means. They're overly casual, and if there's enough room to write out the full word, one should write out the full word. Wikipedia is a worldwide project and there are very few abbreviations that are known around the world. There was no need to use one here, given that there was plenty of room to leave this at "Malaysia." Thanks for not unnecessarily abbreviating words in the future. - Julietdeltalima (talk) 16:01, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You can only have one |country= per infobox. I am not sure why you want to have both "MAS" and "Malaysia". You should really pick one since one is just the abbreviation for the other. 98.230.196.188 (talk) 23:48, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why we capitalize the word Indignenous

[edit]

Hi there,

I've noticed you went in and reverted the word Indigenous to the page "Indigenous peoples of the Americas," and I wanted to provide you some insight as to why we do not do that. I've attached a few links for you to look at, I would appreciate it if you would not change it as it is considered to be a problematic to do so. Also, please check the APstylebook as it too indicates as such.

Thanks!

Information icon Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Drill it (talk) 21:08, 28 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
