Matty Healy

[edit]

Hi, I notice you keep reverting my edit in Healy's Sexuality section. It seems very questionable to say in your own words that Healy "implied he was bisexual" when Healy himself has explicitly rejected that interpretation of his words and has said on numerous occasions that he is entirely straight. Why do you keep deleting his clarification and using your own interpretation instead? Popeye191 (talk) 20:54, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have already fixed that but kept his quote and also included your quote from your edit. Hope it makes sense. If not, let me know. I added the misinterpretation of his words about being an asthete bc thats where the fake coming out thing started Aldazuri (talk) 13:46, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

Hello! I just want to request a fix on the various disruptions made by editor Elttaruuu with regards to the controversy section of Healy esp with regards to the Adam Friedland show. The current edition of the page cites UNILAD, an unreliable source, and does not reflect the Vox article published (generally reliable secondary source) characterizing it as a joke from clarifications made in the recent episode of the podcast (primary source). Thank you. Maxen Embry (talk) 13:57, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

So you are trying to edit, despite being blocked from editing the article is what I am reading? Elttaruuu (talk) 15:23, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sinner

[edit]

Sorry Aldazuri, I didn't want to attack you here, I only realized afterwards that you had inserted this part of the text. Much appreciation for all the excellent work you do around the article, it's just that this half sentence doesn't make any sense. Sinner grew up speaking German and later achieved a very advanced (and accent-free) level of Italian, as well. So unsure, what "Italian with a German dialect" is supposed to mean. Cheers, Mai-Sachme (talk) 13:59, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah my bad, sorry for the confusion. I was referring to his South Tyrolean dialect: "I am 100% Italian even if I speak in a German dialect" (“Sono italiano al 100% anche se parlo in dialetto tedesco”), here. He does speak Italian with an accent and poor grammar though, he even uses words that don't exist. Also, his dialect includes words that aren't found in standard German. Anyway thanks for reverting the edit, the sentence wasn’t very clear. I think the previous version before my edit was “grew up in a German-speaking family.”
I was adding this paragraph to the media section about him being labeled "not Italian enough" throughout his career, but I didn’t save the edit:
This sentiment resurfaced in July 2024 when he withdrew from the Olympics due to illness, leading public figures to question the seriousness of his condition and his commitment to Italy. Aldazuri (talk) 10:03, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
