[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Yoshi24517. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Church of St. John the Baptist (Burlington, Iowa), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Yoshi24517 Chat Online 20:50, 3 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know. Bedshote (talk) 03:36, 4 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you create my user page?

[edit]

Is there a reason why you edited my user page? Mureungdowon (talk) 00:05, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It was a mistake, sorry. Going back I was trying to help someone with a userpage, they told me this was their username. Bedshote (talk) 00:32, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Temple of the Jedi Order (Beaumont, TX), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. good i was wanting to delete it, theres actually a redirect already! thank you Bedshote (talk) 22:46, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I was going to write a comment about how you have no independent sources blah blah blah, if you want it deleted tag it with CSD#G7, the speedy deletion criterion for author request. Sungodtemple (talkcontribs) 22:48, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

June 2023

[edit]

Information icon Hi Bedshote! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of KVII-TV several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:KVII-TV, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Mvcg66b3r (talk) 00:40, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for this, I thought it was vandalism due to the large deletion of material. I was using a filter for unregistered and newcomer users, so I believed it was reasonable to suspect vandalism. I hope you can forgive me, I mean good faith. It has been my first time using Twinkle. Bedshote (talk) 00:45, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No hard feelings. Anyway, if you need help, just ask my good friend @Sammi Brie:. She's been on Wikipedia for years! Mvcg66b3r (talk) 00:59, 7 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

CS1 error on Euplokamis evansae

[edit]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Euplokamis evansae, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 16:02, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I highly recommend you review WP:What Wikipedia is not, because this is a huge WP:NOTGUIDE violation on top of being unsourced. You did some copyediting on this article (I assume you saw it on an anti-vandalism filter), so just making sure you understand what is and is not acceptable on a Wikipedia article, especially since you are interested in combating vandalism. I left this message because I think you are qualified to manage this article and its quality, but since you missed several problematic edits, wanted to let you know. --(Roundish t) 20:09, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, I don't really have much knowledge of the "writing article" part of Wikipedia, and I usually have help from another Wikipedian when I create an article. I will read Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not as you said. Again, thank you. Bedshote (talk) 20:19, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to know more, I personally started off at the WP:WikiFauna#See Also chart and looked at the various links within. They are fairly entertaining and are surprisingly informative on the various tasks around Wikipedia. I still like to spend an hour or so getting lost in policy rabbitholes. (Roundish t) 23:22, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I have done that, and now I have a question: In the vandalism warning templates, do the different templates for vandalism like template 3, mean a worse vandalization was committed or just repeated vandalism? Bedshote (talk) 00:08, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind, I've read into it. Bedshote (talk) 00:15, 16 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on S Ori 52 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/S ori 52. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Actualcpscm (talk) 16:35, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

yes, but I copied over the undeleted version from spanish wikipedia. Bedshote (talk) 16:45, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The point of that CSD criterion is not so much the source of the copying and more so that it was previously determined that the subject does not warrant a standalone article. Barring substantial changes to either the nature of the subject or its presentation in the article, the previous AfD applies to the current article; at least, that's the rationale behind CSD G4, as far as I know. Although I cannot see the deleted article, the discussion in the AfD discussion seems quite pertinent to the article in its current state. Actualcpscm (talk) 16:58, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. Bedshote (talk) 17:14, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's a shame, because translation is difficult work, and this is basically flawless in that regard. Actualcpscm (talk) 17:42, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Bedshote (talk) 17:45, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Bedshote. Thank you for your work on Shandong Volleyball (men's volleyball). North8000, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Good start. Has no sources establishing notability but being in existence for 67 years I'm assuming that they exist. Happy editing.
