Ways to improve The Essential Kinks

[edit]

Hello, Ben2719941,

Thanks for creating The Essential Kinks! I edit here too, under the username Hughesdarren and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:-

Nice work, Some of the language in the article is very promotional eg. "Boasting an impressive 48 tracks". This will need to be edited out. Other references from independent reliable sources would also be an improvement. But you've made a great start.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Hughesdarren}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Request reason:

Insert your reason to be unblocked here Morning, I have message Wikipedia, they want you to unblock Ben2719941 please, Thanks. (talk)

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 17:25, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Hi Ben, you know why you were blocked right? You created the account User:TheMusicMan94 and pretended you were someone else. This is called sockpuppetry and it's something you should never ever do on Wikipedia. You've been blocked for only one week, so I would just wait it out if I were you. You also need to learn to become a better editor and understand Wikipedia's policies and rules, especially regarding notability. I'd like to help you, but you don't seem to want it. If you work with the community at Wikipedia, they will work with you. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 16:08, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars, Yes I would like some help. Can I ask you a question? How do you know that TheMusicMan94 and Ben2719941 are the same? like I said in the message on the talk page. I said I have message TheMusicMan94 On Gmail and he told me that TheMusicMan94 and Ben2719941 are two different people. TheMusicMan94 said that to me in his own words not mine. I hope this helps okay, thanks and I have already apologize to you.

Talk to me 3:55, 3 February 2019 (UTC)

All of the technical details of the accounts were the same. The only way for you to be different people would be for you to have given your computer to him at your house. TonyBallioni (talk) 16:58, 2 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

TonyBallioni. Oh okay then I understand thanks for telling me. Talk to me 4:04, 3 February 2019 (UTC)

Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars, Who added the Amazon review on The Essential Mi-Sex? and thanks for creating The Queen in Waiting: The Columbia Years (1960–1965), you did an excellent job. Thanks and if you get a chance please add more Sony's The Essential series. Talk to me 3:55, 3 February 2019 (UTC)

Ben, will you first admit that you are TheMusicMan94, that you did wrong, and promise you won't do it again? StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 18:40, 2 February 2019 (UTC) ,[reply]

Hey Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars, Who added the Amazon review on The Essential Mi-Sex? You didn’t answer my message or question, please answer the question then I will answer my question to you okay thanks, Talk to me 18:40, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

your reason here Good afternoon, I have read why I have been blocked, yes I have made a mistake. We all make mistakes on Wikipedia, the reason why I don't use my username Ben271994 is because the password didn't let me in so I have to create a new account username to Ben2719941. Please unblock me, I haven't created any The Essential albums with Discogs or iTunes. I hope this helps, thanks User talk:Ben2719941 12:55, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

So, what, you created User:TheMusicMan94 because you you have a password problem and can't log into User:Ben271994? But you just did, to make this request. And you were continuing to use both accounts at the same time, so it is obviously not true that you could not use this Ben2719941 account either then or now. Combined with the earlier blatant lie above that "I have message TheMusicMan94 On Gmail and he told me that TheMusicMan94 and Ben2719941 are two different people. TheMusicMan94 said that to me in his own words not mine," I see no reason to believe a single word you are saying.

And here with TheMusicMan94 you pretended to be a new user.

If you want to have any future here, I have one recommendation - stop lying. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 04:02, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

your reason here If a new person creates an account for Wikipedia, why does Wikipedia welcome new people then when you add an account then Boing! said Zebedee? huh, and please watch your words carefully Boing! said Zebedee?, please stop being mean to me because if you mean to me I will message the admins about you then I will have to report you Boing! said Zebedee?, do you want that?.

Decline reason:

As you refuse to address the reason for your block, I have revoked your ability to edit this page. O Still Small Voice of Clam 07:24, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Ben, you're not helping yourself. You're going to end up being blocked indefinitely and you won't even be able to talk on your own talk page. You're not going to be able to edit at all. Do you want that? I'm willing to help but you have to stop the nonsense. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 04:26, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars Did you read Boing! said Zebedee?'s message to me, what he say was so mean and I thought Wikipedia doesn't allowed people to bully anyone. (talk) 3:52, 3 February 2019 (UTC)}}

  • You must not remove declined unblock requests while you are still blocked. I have restored it now. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 04:55, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ben, you are the one that is blocked and you're in danger of being blocked indefinitely. You're better off just being quiet and waiting until this block ends. If you can't understand why you are blocked, Wikipedia may not be the place for you. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 06:38, 3 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ben2719941, User:Voice of Clam has done you a good turn here by removing your ability to dig yourself in deeper, as it's very possible that another admin would have extended your block - which I almost did when I reviewed your clearly false unblock claims. While you are blocked, I seriously suggest you re-read the advice from User:Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars on this page. Then reconsider the way you approach Wikipedia's rules and guidelines, your approach to honesty, and the way you interact with other people who aren't stupid enough to believe your obvious dishonesty. And as one final piece of advice, next time you think of making up stories, please remember that the details of every edit you have made and their timings are visible to everyone (and admins can even see deleted edits), and checkusers can examine technical details of your computer connection. Hello Ben, I have received your message on my talk page but we should continue the conversation here. You said you have submitted an unblock request through the Unblock Ticket Request System. You should have entered this user name and not any of the others you have created. I hope you offered a good explanation as to why you should be unblocked. What have you learned these past six months? Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars[[User talk:|Talk to me]] 15:49, 4 March 2021 (UTC)

What have I learnt?

[edit]

Hey User talk:Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars, I have learnt that it is bad for me to bully Wikipedia admins or staff and I also learnt that I can't put one album review from AllMusic to make an album you have to find more information about the album from relatable sources or the article will get deleted. I also learn that is wrong from me to make millions of Wikipedia accounts for no reason. I was thinking really hard what to write when March 2nd 2021 was coming around.

Would I be able to go back on Wikipedia ASAP? i really hope so. I did gave a good explanation would you be able to take a good at what i wrote on the Unblock Ticket Request System if you can please? If I'm allowed to return to Wikipedia what about the other Wiki users like Bintersnet? Would they try to stop me I'm just worried about that.

Thanks so much from Benjamin 5 March 2021 10:50 (UTC)

No, you will not be able to come back ASAP. I do not know how long the process takes and I am unable to see what you wrote. I have no access to that system. Since you submitted your request already, you just have to wait. If you get unblocked, you wouldn't have to worry about anyone else. You only would have to worry about yourself and not doing the things that got you blocked and banned in the first place. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 15:54, 5 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable non-free use File:Sherbet - Free The People.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sherbet - Free The People.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
