NYC

[edit]

Hello, I have listed the recently listed Template:New York City on Templates for deletion because myself and others find it to be inappropriate. You can comment on the issue here. Also, in the future please fill in the edit summary field so that other users can understand what you changed without having to view the differences. Thanks, Cacophony 18:54, 15 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NYC Template

[edit]

Hi. I noticed you created List of smaller islands in New York City. While I applaud your enthusiasm, I also note that there is a fair amount of controversy about what you are doing. May I suggest that you hold off with creating these sorts of articles (or putting {{New York City}} in any more) for a little while, and instead, discuss your ideas and try to gain consensus? If the template ends up getting deleted, you will have just created a lot of work to go back an undo all the references. If the template ends up being adopted, on the other hand, a few days delay in implementing it won't hurt anything. -- RoySmith (talk) 14:49, 16 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject New York City

[edit]

Hey there. If you haven't noticed already, there's a WikiProject for New York City. Judging from your contributions, you might want to become a member. It's a good way to network with other editors that write about NYC related topics. --Howrealisreal 20:28, 17 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Template: New York

[edit]

Hi, Bolwerk. I was wondering how you justify adding places like Mount Kisco to the New York template when White Plains and other more notable places are omitted. --Nelson Ricardo 15:12, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

June Meetup in New York

[edit]

Hi, I noticed you are characterized as a New Yorker so perhaps you might be in the NYC area in June. If you are interested we are having a meetup for Wikipedians in June in NYC. Take a peek at this and please tell any other Wikipedians that you think might be interested in participating about this event. Thanks. Alex756 02:25, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Foxcroft in need of serious attention

[edit]

Bolwerk, I see you're the one that initiated the Foxcroft School article. It has grown since then, but is in serious need of attention. A significant amount of content has been added. I removed some of it because it was lifted directly from the school's website without attribution or apparent permission. What remains, while interesting, is not sourced. I have made some attempts at cleaning up copy (when I have time), but I have no idea whether any of it is true.

Since you must have some interest in the topic, I assume you also might have some knowledge of the accuracy of the article's content. Would you review it when you have a chance (along with discussions on the Talk page) and see if you can help, please? Because the content has been tagged as lacking verifiable sources for so long, the bulk of the article may have to be deleted soon. That would reduce it to a stub and likely result in page deletion.

In the mean-time I will see if I can verify some of the information and provide references as well. Thank you.
