Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Jim Brown has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you. ‑‑Neveselbert (talk · contribs · email) 19:08, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Team
As suggested by Yamla to read article on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest and
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not#Wikipedia_is_not_a_soapbox_or_means_of_promotion
I found these two articles very useful, as they say, "If editors choose to add material to an article on behalf of a COI or paid editor, they must provide attribution for the text in the edit summary. The edit summary should include the name of the COI or paid editor, a link to the draft or edit request, and that the edit contains a COI or paid contribution. For example: "Text inserted on behalf of paid editor User:X; copied from Draft:Paid draft." This transparency helps editors and readers to determine the extent of COI influence on the article. It also complies with copyright requirements.
"Advertising, marketing or public relations. Information about companies and products must be written in an objective and unbiased style, free of puffery. All article topics must be verifiable with independent, third-party sources, so articles about very small garage bands or local companies are typically unacceptable. Wikipedia articles about a person, company, or organization are not an extension of their website, press releases, or other social media marketing efforts. External links to commercial organizations are acceptable if they identify notable organizations wthatare the topic of the article. Wikipedia neither endorses organizations nor runs affiliate programs. See also Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) for guidelines on corporate notability. Those promoting causes or events, or issuing public service announcements, even if noncommercial, should use a forum other than Wikipedia to do so. Contributors must disclose any payments they receive for editing Wikipedia. See also Wikipedia:Conflict of iInterest:Paid eEiting."
I still feel I can learn Wikipedia better, and your articles are improving me. Now i can ask for unblocking, and I want to assure you that I have an interest in Wikipedia's improvement. I have been reading Wikipedia since childhood and utilizing its free content, and now I am ready to spend 1 hour on Wikipedia to improve it. Cricky2023 (talk) 11:15, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I am writing to express my deepest apologies for the disruptive edits I made on Wikipedia and to kindly request the unblocking of my account. I realize now the gravity of my actions and the negative impact they have had on the integrity and reliability of the platform.

First and foremost, I want to assure you that my intentions were never malicious or intended to harm the Wikipedia community. However, I made a series of hasty decisions and ill-informed contributions that I deeply regret. In my pursuit of contributing to the collective knowledge base, I failed to adhere to the guidelines, policies, and spirit of collaboration that make Wikipedia a truly remarkable resource. I now realize that my disruptive edits were counterproductive and undermined the hard work and dedication of the volunteers who tirelessly strive to maintain the integrity of this invaluable platform. I kindly request your forgiveness and the opportunity to have my account unblocked. I understand that regaining your trust will take time and effort on my part, but I am committed to proving that I can be a responsible contributor and a valuable member of the Wikipedia community. I am eager to make amends and contribute positively to this remarkable platform. Cricky2023 (talk) 05:39, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I'm feeling like you might have written this request with a bot- if you did, please don't going forward. We want to hear from you, not a bot- if you didn't, please use fewer adjectives in your sentences. We don't need to know how great Wikipedia is. Your edits were poorly done, and in addition seem to suggest a connection to NexInfo Solutions where you violated WP:COI and WP:PAID. Please disclose your connection to that company and tell us what edits you intend to make going forward. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:13, 27 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Dear Admin, I am working for Nexinfo Solutions and tried to create a page for the company. I read your guidelines and policy before submitting. I tried making the changes suggested by Wikipedia in my profile, and i became confident about creating a page, but it was rejected based on neutrality content. As our company is a premier partner of Oracle, I thought it must have a page. But it has been blocked because I edited Jim Brown's page.

Decline reason:

We are not interested in what Nexinfo Solutions wishes to say about itself. See WP:COI and WP:PROMO. If this is your only goal here, this is the end of the line. Yamla (talk) 10:54, 6 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. signed, Rosguill talk 22:01, 8 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
