Thanks for creating Iron Mountain Railway (California), Ebtrr1!

Wikipedia editor Blythwood just reviewed your page, and wrote this note for you:

Patrolled, but do you have a source for definite regarding operation in 1927-9? One source says definitely dismantled by the end of 1927, the other just says possibly active 1929. I've changed it to 'may have' to mirror the source better.

User Name Ebtrr1

[edit]

Hello, when you added some citations to the article Friends of the East Broad Top you signed your wikipedia name as "Ebtrr1". Are you editing on behalf of the railroad or for the Friends group? You might want to refer to WP:ORGNAME. When somebody with an official or close connection with a subject edits it's hard to avoid WP:COI. If you have any questions feel free to reply here as I'll have your talk page on watch. Blue Riband► 04:46, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"ebtrr" is my email account and the user name I use in many places across the Internet. I also edit other articles relevant to railroad and industrial history because that is my area of interest. My username relates to the EBT only because that is my favorite historic railroad. I am not editing on behalf of FEBT or the EBT in any official capacity. User:ebtrr1

No problem with using "ebtrr1". I was questioning it because there is paid editing on Wikipedia where a company or organization hires somebody to handle their media image. Paid editing is a problem because it frequently lacks neutrality, represses negative press, and inflates passing mentions of the subject to sound like feature articles.
