Clarice Lispector

[edit]

Dear Editor br,

Thank you for your kind words about my Clarice Lispector article. I have long thought it was a shame that the Portuguese version was so short - such a great Brazilian deserves better! So I am very glad that you are going to expand the article and am honored that you are going to base it on mine. I would be happy to help.

Sim, eu falo português mas escrevo muito mal, desculpe.

And I thank you for your offer to help improve the English version. I have been meaning to do that for a long time now but have been too busy with other things - and besides, as a relatively new Wikipedia contributor I haven't yet put in the study time I would need to upgrade it to a featured article. But it would be good to make it definitive if we could.

I have a very large Clarice library but do not live in the United States. If there is anything you cannot find in your university library, let me know and I will be happy to share whatever I can. I don't know what the best way is to get in touch besides here - I don't want to leave my email address on this thing because as you can see from the Clarice comments page things got so heated up about a very minor point that I felt I had to disinvolve myself. Do you have any ideas?

In any case, I'm very grateful for your kind words. I also have some images I could share. The picture of her is from my collection and I am happy to release that for the Brazilian version as well, of course.

Yours, Eve.b.i (talk) 11:19, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Laços de família

[edit]

Dear editor br, I wonder if you could help me out a bit. I've started an article on Laços de Família. I don't know how to get it to be called "Family Ties" because there are so many other articles with that name. Do you know how to do this? Sorry, just learning.

Also, I'm trying to link it to the pt category "Livros de Clarice Lispector" but this isn't working. Any ideas? Thanks Eve.b.i (talk) 16:19, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An article you created maybe deleted soon: Tools which can help you

[edit]

The article you created: Outstanding leadership theory may be deleted from Wikipedia.

There is an ongoing debate about whether your article should be deleted here:

The faster you respond on this page, the better chance the article you created can be saved.

Finding sources which mention the topic of your article is the very best way to avoid an article being deleted {{Findsources3}}:

Find sources for Outstanding leadership theory: google news recent, google news old, google books, google scholar, NYT recent, NYT old, a9, msbooks, msacademic ...You can then cite these results in the Article for deletion discussion.

Also, there are several tools and helpful editors on Wikipedia who can help you:

1. List the page on Article Rescue Squadron. You can get help listing your page on the Article Rescue Squadron talk page.
2. At any time, you can ask any administrator to move your article to a special page. (Called userfication)
3. You can request a mentor to help explain all of the complex rules that editors use to get a page deleted: Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User. But don't wait for a mentor to respond to you before responding on the article for deletion page.
4. When trying to delete a page, veteran editors love to use a lot of rule acronyms. Don't let these acronyms intimidate you. Here is a list of acronyms you can use yourself: WP:Deletion debate acronyms which may support the page you created being kept.

If your page is deleted, you also have many options available. Good luck! Ikip (talk) 04:10, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
