My talk page (and the entire article) for Last Generation Sponsorship was deleted. I corrected the accidental copyright violation (by rewriting the cited paragraph and by adding references to my interviews) and said as much on the talk page. I got no other notice but the page (and talk page) has been deleted. I posed a question on the editor's talk page but don't have an answer yet. I can correct whatever isn't right, I just need to know what it is. Thanks Egoober (talk) 16:55, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The page was deleted because it used copyrighted material. See WP:COPYRIGHT for a specific Wikipedia policy...... Dendodge .. TalkContribs 17:07, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the copyrighted material. The area in question was only the last paragraph and I changed it -- rewrote it completely from my interview notes. If there was more than the last paragraph that was problematic, I should have been notified and give a chance to rework it prior to deletion. Also leaving a record of the conversation on the talk page would have been helpful. Egoober (talk) 19:25, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please help! I want "userfication" for the "Last Generation Sponsorship" article so I can correct it. Thanks! Egoober (talk) 00:41, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The latest revision of this (deleted) article is still a copyright violation, and so it cannot be restored, even to userspace. You will have to start from scratch I'm afraid. Kevin (talk) 04:38, 18 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on IBuilt.net Website Builder, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not indicate the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:IBuilt.net Website Builder. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks. Carados (talk) 22:12, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You will need to establish notablility from secondary sources by providing references to those sources. See Wikipedia:Notability. The article read as a promotion piece and not as an encyclopedia article. see Wikipedia:Your first article. Cheers! Wassupwestcoast (talk) 23:20, 15 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Shane Ellison

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Shane Ellison requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. AfD nomination of Gary Lister

[edit]

An editor has nominated Gary Lister, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gary Lister and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:14, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Promotional material

[edit]

Please don't try to add promotional material to Wikipedia. It will just get removed. --BozMo talk 06:45, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Last Generation Sponsorship

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Last Generation Sponsorship requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Proposed deletion of Kim Skildum-Reid

[edit]

The article Kim Skildum-Reid has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
