Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:16, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Adding references

I have noticed that you have been adding references to reviews to the talk pages of various articles. Please remember to check the articles so that you do not add duplicate references. You can focus your efforts on the "References", "Further reading", and "External links" sections as these are the most likely places that references are found. – Allen4names 06:14, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Thanks to the notification. I'm going to remember to check the articles for don't add duplicate references. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 22:27, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
You're welcome. Incidently I prefer to keep a conversation on one page. – Allen4names 05:11, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Eyeshield 21 episodes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Shonen Jump (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of List of Majin Tantei Nōgami Neuro characters, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://acrews.blogspot.com/2009/03/majin-tantei-nogami-neuro.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

Hi Gabriel Yuji, I'm beginning the copy-edit you requested to the above article at the GOCE Request page. Please feel free to contact me, or to correct or revert my edits if I'm doing something I shouldn't. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 (talk) 19:40, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

Done; I've removed some text from Reception --> Anime reception which is referenced by a source (DVDTalk.com) that appears to be unreliable per WP:UGC; it's on the article's talk page if you want it. Feel free to contact me about any issues arising from the copy-edit; good luck with your planned GA nom. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 (talk) 03:11, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

Please stop; you're violating guidelines

Hi, Gabriel. I'm sure you're doing it innocently and in good faith, but you can't just go around unilaterally deciding what is WP:NOTABLE and what is not. There are procedures. You need to go to Wikipedia:Notability/Noticeboard and make a case there. I'm afraid your changes need to be reverted. --Tenebrae (talk) 17:41, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for taking this in the collegial spirit I was hoping would come through. As it is, I agree with you that some of the ones were non-notable (though I think Jann of the Jungle, a character with her own book and a rare Atlas female heroine, is indeed notable) and I'd be happy to speak on behalf of your Noticeabord' submissions'. Just let me know if I can be of help. With regards, --Tenebrae (talk)
Hi, Gabriel.I hope this helps: You can put this tag at the top of articles that you think don't meet notability guidelines. Placing it alerts the editorship at large.
--Tenebrae (talk) 01:12, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
To answer your question on my talk page: I'm not sure I'm explaining the procesure as well as I could, and for that I apologize. The procedure is to put this notability tag at the pages you think aren't notable. Then it becomes a mater for multiple editors to discuss it and reach a consensus. That's the way we generally work around here: We create a consensus rather than just taking matters into our own hands because we think we're right. Because everybody here thinks they're right!   : ) &nsbp; So try tagging these articles and you'll join a community of fellow editors in taking it from there! --Tenebrae (talk) 01:57, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
Conversely, you can use "merge to" and "merge from" templates. You'll find a bunch of templates at Wikipedia:Template messages. --Tenebrae (talk) 01:59, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
Because there's no deadline. We usually give other editors at least a week or 10 days to respond. --Tenebrae (talk) 14:19, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

"European descent"?

I've noticed recently that you've added categories for "Fictional American people of European descent in video games" for Ken, Guile, Rufus, and C. Viper. Where are you getting the European descent thing from? As far as I know none of them have such a thing, but I wanted to ask you before I removed them without any discussion. Amaratasu Okami page

Great start on that page, I didn't think there would be enough to build it. I think there might be some stuff I can pull from the art book for the the development - you may want to borrow from the main game article on the art style aspect too.

The only point I would suggest is that we should use art associated with the original game, Okami, with the sumi-e style, as opposed to the semi-cel-shaded approach from MvC3. Not necessarily in-game, since that's not as good, of course. --MASEM (t) 05:24, 7 May 2013 (UTC)

Sorry!

This whole thing is confusing me because some guy is trying to request deletion for these pages I've linked bellow, I might need your help please. I personally feel that these pages are valuable! Btw, what do you think about:

? --Niemti (talk) 18:28, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

When I began copyediting the article (in compliance with the Manual of Style) because it was next on WP:GOCE/REQ Niemti reverted my edits, making it impossible for me to continue. I don't know if another copyeditor will take it on, so you may want to have a talk with them if you still want that copyedit. All the best, Miniapolis 01:44, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

I didn't revert anything, just corrected the instances of "Shiranui" to "Mai". --Niemti (talk) 01:48, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Mega Man 5

Hi! I noticed that you took the comments from my C-Class Review of Mega Man 5 on board and most of the issues have been redressed. However, in the lead section you have written "The game introduces a new character, Beat, which the player can [...]". I haven't played the game so I don't know who/what Beat is, but if Beat is a character it should read "The game introduces a new character, Beat, whom the player can [...]". Aside from that, I still think the first paragraph of Reception is too brief but I'll leave that in the hands of future assessments. If you can clarify that sentence in the lead section, I'll happily pass the article for B-Class. CR4ZE (t) 01:23, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi,

Just posting to tell you that I was actually wondering about the capitalization of "yet" in that title...

The manual of style tells us that:

The words that are not capitalized (unless they are the first or last word of the title) are:
[...]
*Short coordinating conjunctions (and, but, or, nor; also for, yet, so when used as conjunctions)

English isn't my first language, but it seems to me the "yet" in that title is indeed used as a conjunction:

conjunction
9.
though; still; nevertheless: It is good, yet it could be improved.

Based on that, I decided to edit the article so the "yet" wouldn't be capitalized anymore (until you recently changed that back), but it's entirely possible I missed something.

What do you think? Erigu (talk) 05:54, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

I followed your advice, and as it turns out, "Yet" was actually correct. Grammar, how does it work?!
(I still moved the page to "And Yet the Town Moves" though)
Thank you! Erigu (talk) 09:54, 7 January 2014 (UTC)

Re: Alphonse Elric

The issues were clarifying those two sentences right? I tried explaining more that the homunculi are controlling the military and that Al's soul escaping was due to something else but I'm not sure if it was a good presentation. Anyways, good work in the article. Regards.Tintor2 (talk) 00:41, 20 December 2013 (UTC)
