Welcome to Wikipedia, Gallery-of-art! I am Becky Sayles and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. Thank you for your contributions. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions check out Wikipedia:Questions, or feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or type {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. Again, welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you....Modernist (talk) 18:57, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. 99.156.66.48 (talk) 21:45, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. ...Modernist (talk) 21:09, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Response

Here's my take so far - I think several of your edits and your text additions to articles that I have seen look good but need references to reliable sources. Your external links basically need to be used in context with the articles in which you are adding them. There are certain external links that seem to have the ok or the consensus of the visual arts project and the spam project - that are tolerated - like the few that you deleted the other day. My advise is to first - learn to reference your edits; if you add a link make sure it is in relationship to the text in the article perhaps as a second reference...Modernist (talk) 11:11, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four halfwidth tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 06:27, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Personal attacks

[edit]

Please do not attack other editors. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you....Modernist (talk) 22:35, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, we must insist that you assume good faith while interacting with other editors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you....Modernist (talk) 22:41, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I have already advised you as to how to include information into articles, instead all you seem to do is add your website to external links; and you have deleted valid external links. I would suggest that you learn how to properly edit here before attacking others, please read this - WP:AGF...Modernist (talk) 22:41, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
