Senate committees

[edit]

Thanks for your work with the Senate committees. Unfortunately, your additions of new members is not accurate. Because of the way the Senate works, the committee membership does not change until the Senate adopts new resolutions electing members. Therefore, the membership of a given Senate committee is currently those senators who were members of the committee at the end of the last Congress, less those senators who left office.

Also, as a friendly bit of advice, using "Democrat" as a an adjective, as in "Democrat members", is likely rub many editors the wrong way, so you should refrain from using it unless you mean to annoy Democrats. I'm not suggesting you are trying to do that; rather, I want to make sure you don't run into a situation where someone unexpectedly blows up at you.

Thanks again for the work, I'm sure we'll be able to restore your lists very soon. -Rrius (talk) 22:16, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your work on reformatting the chart. It looks much better. I had used "RM" to save space, and had a note explaining the abbreviation, but it got removed during one of the changes/reversions in the last couple of days. It's no longer a problem since your formatting fits the information in the available space as well as possible. Hopefully, it'll be another two years before we need to touch it again. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
