Image:Raiders21apoc.jpg listed for deletion

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:Raiders21apoc.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only oder for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. – riana_dzasta 13:44, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Forsaken Sanctum

[edit]

The article Forsaken Sanctum has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Also, (1) you can't post things on Wikipedia with copyright notices -- see WP:COPYRIGHT; (2) Wikipedia is not a game guide. NawlinWiki 21:19, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK, the copyright notice is gone, but you still haven't indicated why this game is notable, or provided any reliable independent sources showing its notability. NawlinWiki 21:25, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

you habvent given me a chance, i have a website

www.forsakensanctum.com

its a full blow mmorpg in production, i am sorry i am new to wiki, just trying to get the page done...

how do i link a image to where it shows an image ont he page, without uploading to wiki?

what the heck man, this is my game, i own it, and i want to make a wiki on it, whast the problem? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hallsofvallhalla (talkcontribs) 21:36, August 20, 2007 (UTC).

  • It's not enough to say "I have a website", or "it's my game and I want a page." Lots of people have websites. Lots of people make MMORPGs. They all want Wikipedia pages, but we have standards. You have to provide reliable independent sources explaining why your game is notable (see WP:WEB). If you don't, your article will continue to be deleted and may be protected against reposting.

Also, I mentioned above that Wikipedia is not a game guide. Your article should not explain all the minute details of the game.

Finally, you shouldn't be linking to off-Wikipedia images. They need to be uploaded if they are going to be used in a Wikipedia article. NawlinWiki 21:39, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

All the rules of this site are so vague, a reliable independant resources? You let Apoc Online have a page on here with no problem when i was lead programmer for them. When did you get so strict? I am sorry to take your time with this but the rules have changed quite a bit since I last visited. How do I get reliable source? What do I do to get a page on here?
