Suggestions for AFD discussions[edit]

Have you thought of using source assessment tables in AFD discussions? Here is an example article for deletion discussion with a source assessment table.

Generally speaking the citation templates can be copied from the articles. They are much better than a link, because they make it transparent what the source is.

I have noticed with skaters that sometimes the article on a skater's double-partner has some additional sources that are worth appraising and adding to the table. And sometimes a Google news search on the name of one partner yields different results than the other partner, but the individual results are applicable to both partners and therefore worth appraising.-- Toddy1 (talk) 15:04, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I find that I can usually address most of those tables' points just by writing. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 19:29, 11 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please see User talk:Cryptic#I think you have made a mistake in accepting a speedy deletion of Chloe Lewis (figure skater).-- Toddy1 (talk) 12:30, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again @Hameltion:, could you please help me create an article for actress Jayne Hazard? I think it’s possible to find sources in newspapers.com Votbek (talk) 13:43, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @Votbek: I see a few short things [1] [2] [3] but not sure whether there's enough for an article. I hope you're able to use newspapers.com via WP:TWL and look for yourself. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 16:22, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Carson Branstine[edit]

Why did you take modeling out of my Wikipedia? My agent isn’t happy about it. I’m signed with Wilhelmina. #1 agency… annoying 173.233.116.18 (talk) 03:04, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There wasn't any citation, and I looked and didn't find any sources to verify it. Providing some published sources on the talk page would help editors decide what to include. Hameltion (talk | contribs) 03:40, 7 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Hameltion:, could you please create an article for Australian actor Mitchell Hope, who is best known for appearing as main character Ben on the Descendants film franchise and in the film Let It Snow alongside Kiernan Shipka? CheAjlt (talk) 01:15, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @CheAjlt, it looks like there is enough coverage to make this actor notable. I'll add him to my to-do list. Out of curiosity, have you any relation to user Votbek who has phrased requests similarly to me before? Hameltion (talk | contribs) 01:53, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, being honest I’m kinda busy right now with other projects so I just copypasted from that one, with just changing the name and link, sorry. CheAjlt (talk) 01:58, 19 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

WNBA talk page banner link[edit]

I've put this request on two other pages but it doesn't seem to be getting any traction, so I figured I'd try here.

For the women's basketball task force, the link currently leads here, which is an out of date task force link. A few editors and I have been using this task force page as a more up to date list of things needing doing related to WNBA articles. Would it be beneficial to re-direct the link in this banner shell to the latter page?

Thanks for any direction you can provide.

A tag has been placed on Cancelo (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
