What can I do to prevent the deletion of the article Markus Schirmer? I-Punkt (talk) 07:05, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @I-Punkt. As the article has already been taken to AFD, there is nothing you can do to "stop" the process. Now, the discussion is not over, and may still turn out in favor of keeping the article. The main problem with the article seems to be notability. Notability for musicians must be established using verifiable, reliable sources, and as such implemented into the article using references. If you can do that, it may tilt the ongoing discussion towards keeping the article.
Now, let's say you can't fix the article in time and it gets deleted, remember that nothing is ever truly deleted. The contents of the deleted article can still be retrieved by an administrator and made available to you, which in turn would allow you to take what you already have and create a draft using the Articles for Creation (AFC) process. The AFC process is a tool where you can create your article in a unpublished space where it is safe from deletion. You can then work on your article and have it reviewed, and once a reviewer finds it worthy of publishing, it will be introduced into the main article space. Articles that were created via the AFC process barely ever get deleted, as they have to reach a certain level of quality (in terms of Wikipedia policy) before they are published at all.
So, if the article were to get deleted now, ask the closing administrator to userfy your article. Hope that helps. Cheers! ~ twsx | talkcont | ~ 08:33, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Markus Schirmer has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of WP:NOTABILITY, in this or the German language version.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
