Your account has been blocked indefinitely because its username is a blatant violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane, threatens, attacks or impersonates another person, or clearly suggests that your intention is not to contribute to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information). We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames, and trolling or other disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

considering that i have given wikipedia two of my own images to a couple of articles i cant see how it seams that im going to cause distruption or deliberate damage? IF my username offends, i understand, may i please have the chance to createa new account with a more sensible username and transfere my images under the new account name. Thankyou. I am very sorry, i didnt realise that it was crossing the line in terms of language

Decline reason:

Your username isn't conducive to civil discussions, which is the main way through which Wikipedia works. You may suggest a new username by using {{unblock-un|SUGGESTED NAME}} below. Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:02, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Allowing username change to jamesootas (talk · contribs). Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking.

EDIT: Ive solved the problem, I appreciate your help, thankyou. sorry about that.

Oh - good :-) I was trying, unsuccessfully, to find Wikipedia:Bureaucrats online. Wrong time of day or something. Anyway, glad you're all sorted; ask for help any time you need to.  Chzz  ►  16:07, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Love your work :D Thanks for attempting :) {{helpme}} Hiya, Im having a go at vandalisum patrolling and was just wondering how you send a warning message to an offender user? or is that for admins only?

Anyone can warn people. You can do that manually, or use various tools, such as WP:TWINKLE to speed things up a bit.  Chzz  ►  18:38, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I wanted to pass on just a bit of friendly advice as one vandalism monitor to another. Your recent warning on User talk:81.20.180.97 was a bit harsh. His one unconstructive edit was not particularly malicious. I had already reverted and warned him with a level 1, which is fairly gentle. He didn't vandalize (or even edit) again. Please be careful not to go too far too fast. Not only can it scare away folks, but it can make things harder to do an orderly series of warnings. Generally, it is best to advance through the stages of warning before issuing the final. Believe it or not, it will make your time as a patroller easier when it comes time to report a persistent vandal to admins for blocking. I hope that helps. Cheers! Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. This includes messages on your own talk page.  Chzz  ►  18:41, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
