Election Tables Stuff

[edit]

Hi. Just put some comments on the discussion behind the Can Election 1874 page; I've been doing similar work over in historical BC elections and related stuff; wrote a bunch of stuff over there; if you've got any questions like me a note there or chezmoi @ Skookum1 08:40, 3 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Canadian election template

[edit]

Sorry about the confusion, then. I've got no particular preference whether the Elections/Parliaments table is horizontal or vertical, I just assumed based on its appearance at the top of pages that it would have been the latter. You're quite correct in pointing out the advantages of making it a bottom-based horizontal table. That would match what's in use for the UK and New Zealand, IIRC. 40th Canadian federal election

[edit]

Just in reply to your comment, I think this information is very important for the article on the 39th Parliament and I encourage you to include it. But I am still not convinced an article on something that may not happen in 2011 is necessary. Yes, minorities are notoriously short-lived. But the fact is we still don't know when the next election will be held. From what I hear it could be 3 years before it happens -- darn near a full mandate -- since no one seems to want a snap election and the Liberals won't want to fight one until they have a leader who has rebuilt the party. Also they won't want to try an election bid until after Gomery is finally finished along with this latest income trust scandal. The thing is I have seen similar articles AFD'd before, but it seems that the whole "crystal ball" notion appears to be fading away. If the article stays, so be it, but I will never support any future AFD's involving elections as this now provides precedent. 23skidoo 23:57, 29 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Advocate Team Re: RfC Woggly

[edit]

I am presently coordinating a team of advocates re: my RfC for harassment / threats by user:woggly. I welcome you to be a member. Simply read the RFC lodged against me by user:woggly and the RFC which I have filed against her. It's really simple stuff when all of her harassment and my (and others) various attempts to resolve any issues are in black and white. Please also view the talks pages where Woggly admits to harassment and infers that she will not cease. Thank you for your consideration. Best wishes, IsraelBeach 16:03, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Bobrae-premier.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Bobrae-premier.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion.
