Suggestions[edit]

You might want to read through the guide at WP:DRAFT and "move" (find this in the menu) User:Kenneth Johns/sandbox to the Draft: namespace (technically, you just put Draft: in the beginning of the new name). You could ask others for a quick guess of whether they think the subject of the article - John Bevan Ford - is likely to be accepted as notable under WP:ARTIST.

Technically, you should also change [[Category:Whatever]] to [[:Category:Whatever]] until the article has been accepted in WP:MAINSPACE. This is to avoid the draft article being included in the categories while it's still a draft.

I would also suggest that you remove the content of User:Kenneth Johns (which looks almost identical to the sandbox page) and replace it by something about yourself that you feel comfortable revealing (if anything) - see WP:USER for a better explanation.

And welcome! :) Boud (talk) 07:44, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Many Thanks Boud, it's great to get a response from a human, I admit to feeling a bit lost, I'm wondering if I should just delete it for now, as I have been in contact with someone who is more wiki savvy than myself and has offered to help me. There's no hurry, take your time to learn. :) There's no problem leaving the content in User:Kenneth Johns/sandbox as far as I can see - it's clearly labelled as sandbox (I did a minor fix for the Category links). As for the word "delete", there are two different meanings: one thing is to remove the content by an edit (this can be called "blanking"), but the editing history remains available for people interested in checking that; a different thing is to request a WP:DELETE, which means that the content only remains in the Wikimedia databases, and to ordinary people reading on the web, the content, including the editing history, is unavailable. See WP:DELETE for a longer explanation. Boud (talk) 08:17, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
