References

[edit]

Hi, I just saw your edits to Historiography of the French Revolution — it's great that you want to add references, but you can't cite Wikipedia, or sites that mirror its content, as a source. See WP:CIRCULAR for details. By the way, I also saw your request for the reviewer permssion — can you tell me what you plan to do with it? Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 09:24, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for telling me that. I'll change the reference in a moment, then - otherwise, the quote would need to be removed from both this page and the one on the Nesta Webster page.
In regards to the reviewer permission request, it would simply be to help remove any vandalism and/or unreferenced information or text from Wikipedia, as it has led a number of people astray, which is a disappointment.

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four halfwidth tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 09:43, 3 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Versailles Project

[edit]

Hello Kfodderst !

As I've written, this project is really open. You can have some special visits, with a specialist, about your Versailles's favorite subject, or others meetings. I'm currently in the Château de Versailles, in order to help people to make their articles or projects about Versailles.

What do you need to work ? Please told me, and I'll try to do my best. Some special visits are also offered. If one or several interest you (and if you are close to France, or if you have planned your holidays there ), please join !

With my apologies for my English, Trizek here or on wpfr 10:01, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No need to apologise for the English, Trizek! I'm just wondering if it's limited to WikiMedia projects - are you personally staying in or around Versailles? In other words, are you available to physically investigate matters, or is it that you organise and manage the details of people interested in going in? Thanks. Kfodderst (talk) 10:09, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I live in the city of Versailles, so I may be your contact in the city. The partnership is limited to the Wikimedia projects, but we can study other ideas with Wikimédia France and/or local museums or glam if you need. Trizek here or on wpfr 15:51, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Kfodderst !
I'll try to do this. I added it to the list of requests on Commons.

Merci beaucoup, Trizek! Most appreciated. Kfodderst (talk) 08:06, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome! And a Comment

[edit]

Just as a means of future reference, a header with five equal signs looks identical to This, I think, but makes it its own section. I've modified your header as such at the PC request for comment page. Cheers and welcome. =) CycloneGU (talk) 13:47, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cyclone, I wasn't looking for a new section, since there were too many already - just contributing generally to the 'RFC closing' discussion. The bolded word is just to mark a slightly 'new' topic without bringing in a new section. Just for the record, it hasn't been actually changed - maybe your edit wasn't recorded? Nice to meet you, anyway. Kfodderst (talk) 21:24, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I take that back, didn't realise due to no change in font - cheers, I see what you mean. Kfodderst (talk) 21:39, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PC/SP

[edit]

"With this in mind, the new PC feature would have the same 'acceptance/rejection' system, as opposed to the user-edit-only function of SP. However, there would be cause to reject for: vandalism, patent nonsense, libel/threats, copyright violation, breach of BLP, illegal blanking - and then, most particularly - lack of citation for something that may be wrong, a clash against the referenced source, definitely incorrect information, etc." PC = Politically Correct? SP = Secret Police? ;) Ok, let me be serious now. You could already reject pending changes because of vandalism, patent nonsense, etc. I did. You could write whatever you wanted in the "reject" box and sometimes I wrote whatever I felt was most appropriate. I just wanted to let you know -- if you'd like to chat let me know on my talk page. :) Banaticus (talk) 00:31, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Banaticus - I know that, as those were directly in line with WP Reviewer policy; I was more stressing the 'most particularly' part, (citations, accuracy, etc.) which are currently not included in rejection policy. And also, whether I'm meant to be or not - I still reject edits that change current information to something else (that is definitely different) without referencing. I think it's best. Cheers, Kfodderst (talk) 05:58, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Fleury - Rosalie.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Fleury - Rosalie.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:05, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Research Paper

[edit]

Hi, I am doing a research paper on truth within Wikipedia, through the lens of the controversial topic of Marie Antoinette. I noticed in my research that you are very invested in the Marie Antoinette talk page. Would you mind answering a few questions regarding the page and your interest in it? First, I was just wondering how you got into the Wikipedia world, and what drives you to do what you do? How long have you been a Wikipedia editor? I see that you care deeply about the Marie Antoinette page and making sure that everything is valid--does your profession relate to the topics that you monitor on Wikipedia? If you could get back to me soon that would be wonderful. Thank you so much for your time! You're not very likely to get a reply here - the last time Kfodderst edited was 1 year and 2 months ago. S/he doesn't have email enabled either, so you might be out of luck. Best — Mr. Stradivarius on tour (have a chat) 07:30, 12 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
