Hurricane Georges

[edit]

Just to let you know, Hurricane Georges was not a Category 5. Such an intensity begins at 156 mph, whereas Georges peaked at 155 mph. Hurricanehink (talk) 19:36, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Same with Gustav, it wasn't a C5. Hurricanehink (talk) 19:44, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No, technically a C5 is winds of greater than 155 mph, meaning 156 or above. Per here. Hurricanehink (talk) 19:54, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
(ec)No C5 is greater than 155 mph (ie 156mph). Also there is a numerical error within Igors Google earth which shows it as cat 5 rather than its true intensity of a cat 4.Jason Rees (talk) 20:02, 9 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In Chayanne (1987 album), you recently added links to the disambiguation pages Portuguese and Spanish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Collaboration

[edit]

I have added covers for the song articles you requested and went the extra mile to include year-end charts and nominations. So I was wondering you perhaps would be interesting in working in an article together maybe sometime in the future for Good Article? Maybe a song article from either Cristian or Chayanne? I'm pretty experienced with music articles and you can see on my user page a list of good articles I have done. Erick (talk) 21:04, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done So about my question earlier. Are you interested in collaborating to make an article Good Article class? Erick (talk) 21:33, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Irizarrypabon.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Irizarrypabon.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next seven days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Your recent edit to Mayita's page

[edit]

Hello Khaled, regarding your edit here, in the future, please be sure not to attribute facts to an existing cite without first checking if the existing cite in effect supports the new fact you are adding. (In this case, it didn't) While it's true she was mayor from 1989 to 2021, it is not true that the El Nuevo Dia cite already there states that. A bit of common sense would also show that it would be impossible for something published in 2016 to state she was still going to be mayor in 2021. All a 2026 publication can say is her term was due to expire in 2021 - a far different thing. Thanks. Mercy11 (talk) 00:58, 14 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Changing San Juan's name on every airport "Airlines and Destinations" page

[edit]

You changed "San Juan" to "San Juan-LMM" on the "Airlines and Destinations" section of every airport served by SJU. This is an unnecessary change, as SJU is the sole major airport for the San Juan area, and dashed additions with the name of a specific airport within a city are only used in cities with multiple major airports (eg: New York-LaGuardia/New York-JFK). Avgeek2863 (talk) 01:31, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I changed "San Juan" to "San Juan–LMM", because in San Juan there is another airport with commercial flights, which is the Isla Grande Airport ("San Juan–Isla Grande"). Khaled98 (talk) 12:38, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Avgeek2863. Yes the other airport has commercial flights but it isn’t a “major” airport. Hathorne Airport in Los Angeles has commercial flights but we don’t change LAX to say “Los Angeles–International” or anything. It’s not like London or New York where it’s a major secondary airport so the dash isn’t needed VenFlyer98 (talk) 19:14, 12 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Plaza del Caribe, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gap. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:39, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing references from individual destinations. It does not matter that the route started, everything on Wikipedia needs to be verifiable by an independent, secondary source. As I stated, please see WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT which states “The consensus among the participants in a 2023 request for comment (RfC) was summarized as follows: airlines and destination tables may only be included in articles when independent, reliable, secondary sources demonstrate they meet WP:DUE. A review of the closure of that RfC yielded no consensus to overturn it.” This includes existing destinations, everything on Wikipedia should be sourced when possible. Thank you.
