NFL

[edit]

Hey, really not sure, tbh. I always went with the P2P but that does not mean it is correct... Maybe ask for other comments at the NFL project page? Kante4 (talk) 21:58, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Going with the consensus and i get your point about the time, just never thought of it. Kante4 (talk) 22:26, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yup, saw it and after thinking it makes sense, so i was wrong. Kante4 (talk) 21:49, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2019 Indianapolis Colts season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jonathan Williams (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 07:44, 7 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Template bolding

[edit]

Go to 1936 Boston Redskins season or any other season and look at the navboxes: the 1936 season is in bold, but it is not a championship season. This is a problem across all such templates and such bolding needs to be removed per MOS:BOLD. DrKay (talk) 14:08, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@DrKay: Ah, I see! I thought you meant the links themselves turned bold after the article had been visited. I understand the issue then. Given that league titles are displayed in a separate group I suppose the bolding is completely unnecessary anyway. Thanks for clearing it up! KristofferAG (talk) 14:21, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

2021 Miami Dolphins season

[edit]

Bibfortuna69 has once again undid the review edit for 2021 Miami Dolphins season. Could you please assist? Neovu79 (talk) 14:20, 24 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Neovu79: I see you've already reported the user on WP:ANEW and left a(nother) warning message on their talk page, and there's also a comment from another user on their talk page about the page in question, so I'm not sure if there's much else to do but wait for a reply from an admin at this point. 2021 Philadelphia Eagles season

[edit]

Hi. I just wanna ask you, is there some sort of way to stop that anonymous user (they're currently blocked, but that expires tomorrow) from making false edits to the 2021 Philadelphia Eagles season article? I'm asking because when that guy edits, they are just saying stuff that are not true. Examples of this are:

- taking out the week 18 game vs Cowboys saying that there are 17 weeks even though it is now officially 18 weeks

- saying that players will return to the Eagles even though they are not

- saying that Jason Peters got an 11-year deal but that is clearly impossible

Hopefully this message is helpful! DENBRO1995 (talk) 18:47, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@DENBRO1995: I know who you're referring to, and they were handed a 48 hour ban just yesterday, and that's still in effect. I'm only an admin on the Norwegian Wikipedia, so I can't do much here. If he does come back and continues being disruptive, you can report him at WP:AIV. Given the amount of previous warnings and that you've already addressed the 17/18 week thing on their talk page, I reckon if they continue being disruptive after their bans admins would incline to agree that it goes as obvious vandalism. KristofferAG (talk) 19:18, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. How many warnings does a user have to have in order for them to get reported? DENBRO1995 (talk) 20:39, 7 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@DENBRO1995: As far as I know there's no set amount needed. WP:GAIV says "What constitutes "enough" is left to your best judgment." If you take a quick look at WP:WARNVAND, you'll se some samples of warning templates that can be used as well. Either way, given that they've already received a ban I would report them given any further disruption after the ban period is over. KristofferAG (talk) 07:10, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I’ll do that if they make further disruptive edits on the article, or any other article. Thanks! DENBRO1995 (talk) 08:40, 8 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit on Dan Marino was reverted

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Formal Dude. Your recent edit to the page Dan Marino appears to have removed accurate encyclopedic information, so it has been reverted for now. The source used in articles, pro-football-reference.com, shows that Dan Marino was an AP selected second-team All Pro player in both 1988 and 1983. If I've made a mistake please let me know. NFL 1982 season - No division champions

[edit]

Howdy. You may want to check over all the NFL Division articles. I can't remember if I made the same mistake on them or not, concerning the NFL not recognising Division champions in 1982. GoodDay (talk) 16:58, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@GoodDay: It's a pretty easy mistake to make, you're not the first to do it. Looks like the rest of the articles are fine! KristofferAG (talk) 17:15, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, the CFL I know quite well. The NFL, not so much :) GoodDay (talk) 17:17, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Los Angeles Rams staff

[edit]

Hello Kristoffer, I only added 2024 in order to conform with the previous Los Angeles Rams season pages, which all have the year in front of "Los Angeles Rams staff." Please reconsider the reversion. AUColonist (talk) 16:24, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I understand the edit, and while I don't think it's a problematic change, we've never included the current year in the main staff templates for the teams. On the season pages a separate template is used which specifies the year. Maybe a discussion for WP:NFL. KristofferAG (talk) 17:13, 6 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Official sacks

[edit]

Hi KristofferAG. I agree with you regarding the Alzado page (official since 1982). Myself and another editor thought about a vote etc. Another editor even stopped putting the unofficial (PFR) numbers. Just wanted to say that I ran across yet another editor who amended sacks for dozens of players prior to 1982. The cat was out of the bag at that point. Could be an uphill battle with those, being that our discussion never really took off months ago. Nice meeting you. Bringingthewood (talk) 23:33, 21 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've noted some editors changing the infobox statistics to the unofficial sack counter a few times over the years, so it's good to know you're also keeping an eye on it. I assume most of these editors get the statistics from PFR, so I understand not everyone will know it's an unofficial counter. It might be worth opening a new discussion on WP:NFL, but I honestly think it wouldn't change much, as I doubt the editors making these changes would be paying attention to the discussions. We'll just have to keep our eyes peeled! Good to meet you as well. KristofferAG (talk) 08:14, 24 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with everything you said and the editor that did the most of them doesn't seem like a big discussion guy. Three of us tried to come up with presenting it and it died on the vine. I would say to someone, not an official stat and only official stats go in the infobox. They respond with, who said official only in the infobox, and PFR got as close as possible with 1960. I didn't have much of a comeback with no 'official' consensus. Well, we'll see, maybe this year. Thanks for the reply and at least WE agree, lol. Regards, Bringingthewood (talk) 00:25, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
