Orphaned non-free media (Image:Kartika Airlines.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kartika Airlines.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:35, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of HBO Hits, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: HBO HiTS. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Image:Big_qtv.gif

[edit]

I have tagged Image:Big_qtv.gif as orphaned fairuse. In order for the image to be kept at Wikipedia, it must be included in at least one article. If this image is being used as a link target instead of displayed inline, please add not orphan to the image description page to prevent it being accidentally marked as orphaned again. Hati hati

[edit]

Saya belum tahu kalau bhs ingrrs - tetapi - to create a list like this - harus semblance of an ordered list - kalau tambah disini tambah disana dan b - e- -a - t- - such a list unless there is another parameter - lihat gila! Mungkin membuat keterangan disini atau di talk page of list - bagaimana - the last section of list has no alphabetical order? Sebab no reply so far - I am unsure if you are an english speaker or bhs indonesia speaker - please help - atau editor yang lain - mungkin mahu delete the list SatuSuro 02:20, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK thanks - basically there are many issues about incrementally increasing lists. Some projects and editors do not like them -

 • This list leads to many articles that would not survive outside of the Indonesian project - (a) no cites/refs (b) little information (c) little sign of being developed.
 • The list has a section which has no apparent order (not numerical/alphabetical) - these make some editors see red - it needs to be put in either alpha order or have something else to show why they are in that order
 • Just because a TV station exists that might not necessarily be sufficient - something elese - a written/published source, or other info is needed to 'help' the article beyond the critical mass stage of a stub
 • Articles transferred from Indonesian wikipedia at times have no cites/refs - a single web site of the tv station is not enough for english wikipedia

I do hope that has answered why 'hati hati' - and my apologies for bhs campur in the message SatuSuro 02:41, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

For example - 1.1 Current Nationwide Network - has no specific reason why those stations are given in that order - there needs to be more SatuSuro 03:00, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh and sorry I forgot, I am not Indonesian. However I have worked on the WP Indonesia for a while SatuSuro 03:03, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Another problem - First Media - has nothing like a lead sentence that identifies where it is - it could be in bolivia - and it has not category - for a larger article like that it can get into problems without a category

I do hope I would like to help you - as english wikipedia can be a a trickly place - cheers SatuSuro 03:16, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please

[edit]

it is not finish yet - please do not delete - do not leave messages 'inside' the article - there are ways you can prevent any speedy deletions:-

 • (1) put an Indonesian project tag on the talk/discussion page - that is one way of adding credbility
 • (2) lead sentences should have a country identifier and link - otherwise where is it? lead sentences are important
 • (3) make sure it has a category (stub is ok)
 • (4) please try to find sources - extra to one website

Please feel free to ask any questions - SatuSuro 03:57, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Indosat logo.jpg}

[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:Indosat logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

 • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
 • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. List of Indonesian TV

[edit]

Have removed the 'Local' section - too many unlinked articles in that part - maybe even a better idea would be a separate list - however one big problem is that WP:NOT#DIR and WP:LIST need a read - making lists of programs is a problem - some TV articles are not up to adequate standard - they will get deleted if they have no text or WP:RS SatuSuro 08:43, 26 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Red links...

[edit]

Hello there. Thanks for your work on the Indonesian geography articles. I've been noticing as I go along that there are many lists of place names that are red-linked. The policy here on the Indonesia project is not to create a link unless there is an article. I'm not saying that you have been making red links, rather I'm just asking that you be aware in "your travels" around the Indonesia pages. One example is this version of South Sumatra.

New articles

[edit]

In English wikipedia on the talk page is more useful (lebih penting) than (daripada) on the main page.

There is no point (tak usah) in adding material if there are not (belum) WP:RS with WP:V in the wp.:id articles, the main issue for English Wikipedia is to have articles with WP:RS that are WP:V SatuSuro 13:56, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Cover Indonesian Passport.JPG

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Cover Indonesian Passport.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:49, 4 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 16:49, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Calling codes

[edit]

Hi. I noticed this edit to the Cambodia article where you redlinked the calling code with a leading plus sign (+855). In my efforts to understand this change, I noticed that you have made a large number of similar changes to other articles. Can you please explain your efforts in this area to me? Thanks. WTucker (talk) 01:43, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply. Based on this, I understand; but, I do have a suggestion. It is probably better to not rely on the redirect for these wikilinks. For example, see +44. Instead of just +381, you should probably resolve the redirect like 381 or +381 if the plus sign is important. I know this means more work but it will resolve any ambiguities like +44 and probably others. Thanks for the explanation and happy editing. WTucker (talk) 02:12, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

November 2009

[edit]

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting it into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. page moves

[edit]

This is English wikipedia. Please stop changing proper nouns to Indonesian native names as u have done with the universities. At least discuss the changes and get agreement first. Thanks. --Merbabu (talk) 01:46, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

hi, i know this is enlish wikipedia. i do this with example from Universiti Utara Malaysia. every universiti in Malaysia using their native name. thats why i want to change the name for Indonesia University.Mfa fariz (talk) 01:49, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't matter what happens at Malaysian pages (who says they are correct?). You need to get agreement here first - I don't think you will get agreement. Please stop your many changes - I suggest you raise this at the Indonesia project page. --Merbabu (talk) 01:51, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
ok. now i will stop. thanksMfa fariz (talk) 01:53, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Using native Indonesian names of universities

[edit]

I see you have created a lot of new articles about universities in Indonesia. That is great, but on English Wikipedia, you should use the official English names for these universities rather than the native Indonesian names. Please read Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English) and consider moving the pages you have created to their official English titles. Thanks. --DAJF (talk) 03:26, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK. I will change it back. Is it only the title of the page or also the body? example, i already move Universitas Diponegoro to Diponegoro University, but do i need to change Universitas Diponegoro words in this page to Diponegoro University?Mfa fariz (talk) 04:30, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The English name should be used throughout - for both the article title and in the article text. The native Indonesian name should be mentioned in the introductory paragraph and also in the infobox, as in Andalas University. --DAJF (talk) 05:53, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Template:Indonesian Toll Road Infobox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>transclusionless</noinclude>).

Hi, Mfa fariz, you are graciously extended an invitation to join the International Highways WikiProject and its new regional taskforces! The Highways WikiProject is an evolving and expanding WikiProject. We are a group of editors who are dedicated to creating, revising, and expanding articles, lists, categories, and Wikiprojects, or anything related to International Roads. This includes supporting existing regional road WikiProjects and fostering the development of new international highway WikiProjects. We have recently created five regional task forces focused on Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and Latin America.

To improve road and highway articles, here are guidelines for B class criteria. Please add any higher GA, FA quality articles to the international roads portal. Also, please help out by inviting new or unfamiliar editors with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Highways/New articles/Invite template.

We look forward to welcoming you to the project!

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on First Media, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Epeefleche (talk) 00:51, 21 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Blok M Mall has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability, Jakarta has something like 200 shopping malls.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 05:24, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion at Talk:Sarah Azhari

[edit]

I invite you to please join the discussion at Talk:Sarah Azhari.

Hello, we are seeking help with the Sarah Azhari article, created in 2013 & recently the subject of a deletion proposal. At issue was whether or not the Indonesian language sources establish notability. I am inviting you to the discussion at Talk:Sarah Azhari#Help with Indonesian language sources because you are in the Category:User id-N & have a minimum of 1,000 edits across all Wikimedia projects.

I realize that some of you are very busy while others may no longer be editing. Nevertheless, I thought it wise to consult with you.

Thank your for the work that you do on Wiki[mp]edia! Peaceray (talk) 21:06, 11 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
