Obesity

[edit]

Many thanks for adding information on obesity. I have a few concerns about the book "Weight in America: Obesity, Eating Disorders, and Other Health Risks"

Some of the positions it takes are controversial and contradicted by a recent review of all the literature. Usually we use peer reviews publications in major journals over published booked.

The paper by Hansel is an excellent source for example. Obesity .

Gut Flora

[edit]

Have linked the obesity page to the one on gut flora. This is still very early research. This recent review says that a causal relationship is yet to be determined unequivally. This POV therefore deserves little space on the obesity page. Have referenced the review instead. http://www.mayoclinicproceedings.com/inside.asp?AID=4669&UID=\

Naj-GMU, The paragraph you added to Antiretroviral drug constitutes a copyright violation, as it was copied word-for-word from this website. I warned you (I'm assuming you also go by "Amrit-GMU") about this behaviour earlier today. Please be aware that continued violations could lead to blocks of your editing privileges. Thank you, Keepcalmandcarryon (talk) 19:57, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've also reverted the copyright violations you introduced at HIV vaccine. Please stop. If you are unfamiliar with what plagiarism is, please feel free to ask me. Keepcalmandcarryon (talk) 20:09, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Checkuser request

[edit]

Naj-GMU,

I know you're a new user, and I don't wish to discourage you from editing, but your apparent problems with plagiarism have prompted me to file acheckuser request for you and what I suspect are your multiple accounts. The pattern of copyright infringement, poor sourcing, and generally confusing edits I've been watching at HIV vaccine and other HIV-related articles lead me to suspect that you are in violation of Wikipedia's policy regarding multiple accounts. If you are unaware of this policy or WP:COPYVIO, I suggest that you familiarise yourself with them. Thank you, Keepcalmandcarryon (talk) 20:56, 1 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Naj, thanks for the reply on my talkpage. I had actually just found the syllabus for your course, which explains everything. I will let the checkuser people know about your class so that none of you gets blocked. Keepcalmandcarryon (talk) 16:01, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
