Please stop

[edit]

Please stop creating articles on random college football players. According to Wikipedia:WikiProject College football/Notability, Rich Gunnell, Patrick Sheil, Anthony Castonzo, Andre Callender, and James McCluskey ‎ are not notable enough to have articles--Yankees10 18:55, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Again please read Wikipedia:WikiProject College football/Notability, what makes Bryant Hahnfeldt notable?--Yankees10 01:15, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Those reasons do not make them eligible to have articles, just because they did played with Matt Ryan does not make them notable what so ever, no offense but those reasonings may be the most ridiculous I have ever heard.--Yankees10 05:11, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I have deleted basically every article you ever created because all of them are copy/pastes of the subjects' official bios. Please do NOT submit copyrighted text - it is plagiarism. You've been warned about this before and if it happens again, you will be blocked. Just adding punctuation to the official bio doesn't make it your own. If you in any way derive your article from the source, it is plagiarism and unacceptable to use here. If you wouldn't turn it in as a school assignment calling it your own work, don't submit it here. All it does is waste someone's time to clean up the mess you make. Do not copy/paste content. Do not copy most of a sentence, just changing a few words. If you did not from scratch create the content, it's not acceptable. Obviously, with some things, like "he threw for 10 touchdowns", there aren't but so many ways to say it, but if sentence by sentence, your text is the same sentence as the source, varying only a word or two, it isn't your work and it isn't acceptable here. I count 14 copyvio articles you have submitted and that's just ridiculous. --B (talk) 21:25, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Frantz Joseph

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Frantz Joseph, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Fails WP:ATHLETE

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. English language

[edit]

I'm not sure if English is your native language as I am unaware of your background, but from recent edits ([1], [2], [3]) I think you could benefit from some help in your editing. See resources such as WP:HELPDESK. Grsz11 03:45, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Larry English

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Larry English requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Notability of Mark Ingram Jr.

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Mark Ingram Jr., by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Mark Ingram Jr. seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Mark Ingram Jr., please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 21:00, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop

[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing.

Please Stop creating articles of non-notable college football players. Almost all of the players are not notable. See Wikipedia:WikiProject College football/Notability, WP:ATH, and WP:BIO for more info.

Proposed deletion of Brandon Taylor

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Brandon Taylor, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Unsourced, incoming true freshman who has not played a down of college football yet

Blocked for plagairism

[edit]

In my message to you above on January 10, I stated that if you submitted any further plagiarized content, you would be blocked. I don't know how I can say it and make it any clearer. I've warned you. Others have warned you. You have not responded even to acknowledge the message. Subsequent to that time, you have submitted at least three plagiarized articles:

  • Bear Pascoe - a copy and paste of the "High school" and "personal" sections from [4]
  • Troy Nolan - copied from the "overview" section of [5]
  • Larry English - I deleted this article on January 10, left you the above message, and you recreated it on January 24 containing mostly content lifted from [6].

Copying from another source is not acceptable. It doesn't matter if you change punctuation. It doesn't matter if you only use every other sentence. It doesn't matter if you replace a person's name with "he", or make other alterations. All of this is plagiarism and is not acceptable. Wikipedia content must be completely new, from scratch content that is not a derivative of content from somewhere else. If you would not submit it to a teacher or professor and claim it as your original work, do not submit it here.

For the moment, I have made this block indefinite. I am going to post a request for review at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. If you are interested in agreeing to abide by our content policies, you may use the {{unblock}} template to request reinstatement. --B (talk) 19:30, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
