Hi thanks for your message. Obviously I am disappointed that the article for Bow School, Durham has been rejected on the grounds that it should be merged with Durham School. I find this puzzling because Bow School was formed independently of Durham School and has a very separate history. Is there no way this, now closed, institution can be considered separately to Durham School, which continues as part of the Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation?

Durham School was created by and run by the Cathedral, Bow was a secular school. While many pupils went on to Durham School, many did not. It has a rich and separate history to Durham School.
