improving info and sentence construction for this Wikipedia page. I did not write the original article but as an LLS fan, I've taken an interest in this page as a source of information. I was disappointed to note that although it had very good information that would help viewers, it was poorly written and full of grammar errors. Sentence construction of several sections were redundant and it's overall effect is a poorly written article. I suppose with the various editors contributing, many of who do not use correct grammar, the development has deteriorated. When I read it, I admit that there is a wealth of information, but one gets a sense that it is written by amateurs. I do understand that Wikipedia is a collaborative experience, but surely there must be users who regularly monitor and correct grammar and improve sentence construction.

Take the use of possessive pronouns which this page loves to use. I suppose it is a result of the users' first language translated into English. For example. "The father of Malia" is a direct translation from Tagalog "ang AMA in Malia". However the proper and more appropriate use should be the possessive pronounce "Malia's father".

The possessive form is used with nouns referring to people, groups of people, countries, and animals. It shows a relationship of belonging between one thing and another. To form the possessive, one adds apostrophe + s to the noun. If the noun is plural, or already ends in s, one adds an apostrophe after the s Pipamidalton (talk) 05:08, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I need admin to help several false information and poor grammar edits done today on this page by 124.106.251.186. This user has entered several False information on Jacintha Magsaysay, Theodore Montemayor, and added three nonexistent characters. See edits by user. I’m new at this so I hope you can help. Please look into recent edits done by that user, The user recently entered about 7K characters of false information descriptions of fake characters. I’m positive it’s malicious intent because the information is false and appears made up. Please revert these edits today and can someone reverse other false edits. I am a fan of this series and I edit this page for the simple reason that I like this page to be accurate. Many of the grammar entries are poorly written so I try to fix the errors when I spot them on this page. I’ve done a lot of work improving the sentences and narratives. La Luna Sangre possible vandalism

[edit]

Hi there, need help in “talking” to two unknown users with no userId and no talk page. Two separate edits with false information were entered at two separate times at the La Luna Sangre cast information page. The edits involved changing character name to anime characters, didn’t even use the correct code format. The two users are 112.207.105.53 and 112.207.100.91. I’ve reverted their false edits twice. I had planned to talk to them on their page but they don’t have the option. Thanks! Pipamidalton (talk) 02:43, 9 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

La Luna Sangre page issues

[edit]

Hi there. The main issues with La Luna Sangra are that most of the references are to the show itself or from people connected with the show, like ABS-CBN, and that a lot of it reads like a fan summarizing the show. The page Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Writing about fiction has guidelines about how to write about fictional works.

Hope this helps; let me know if you have any other questions. :) Trivialist (talk) 11:17, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good. If you need any help let me know. Trivialist (talk) 13:18, 23 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
The article looks a lot better. Nice job! Trivialist (talk) 15:26, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Good morning Mr. T, Are there any more that I should do to remove the page issues? I’ll kero an eye out on anything that veers off the track. There are some userIDs that I can’t communicate with as they are anonymous, with no talk page. These folks keep reverting words that are contrary to Wikipedia policy e.g, protagonist, etc. thanks for those edits by the way.Pipamidalton (talk) 19:54, 24 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Details in Asintado

[edit]

Hi, I love and appreciate the work you did on the article page, and yes I think that we need to omit some details because only the main ideas must be presented on the main page. The rest of the information could be placed on a separate page, so as to avoid convoluted glimpses of plots. Thank youu. (talk)

Follow up: I've just created a new, separate page for the entire first season. We could start transferring all the lengthy paragraphs and pieces of information from there on.

Re: Asintado season 1 page

[edit]

Hello, I agree with your suggestion so I created a new and separate article page for the character descriptions! This is just initial and can be further edited accordingly. :) (talk)

Thanks! Appreciate it.Pipamidalton (talk) 02:02, 1 February 2018 (UTC) Pipamidalton (talk) 02:02, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Need admin help for La Luna Sangre

[edit]

Hi, my name is Pipamidalton and I’ve been editing in WP since September last year but thoroughly enjoy the experience. I’ve focused mainly on Philippine tv series because I noticed they are written by people in good faith but with a poor command of English,. In the beginning, most inputs were awkwardly phrased and convoluted. I’ve tried my best to clean them all, and then summarized as concise as possible. I’ve been monitoring the articles in my watchlist to update details, etc. now that this particular tv series La Luna Sangre is wrapping up in 7 days (it had 185 episodes in all), user 216.172.253.184 blanked several sections. I’ve tried to use usertalk but can’t get a connection. I’ve manually reverted the edits but I’m afraid it would start again. Please help or warn the user please. Thanks. • @Pipamidalton: you can consider installing Twinkle, which allows you access to a variety of rollback and warning tools, which would allow you to revert edits made by vandal users. The edit summary would provide a link to the user's talk page. You can use {{subst:uw-vandalism1}} to 4 to warn users. Once the warnings are used up, report the issue to WP:AIV. Thanks. 1.02 editor (talk) 02:07, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ngayon at Kailanman (2018 TV series) - help. Siege of Baler

[edit]

Here, I've reverted your recent edit of the Siege of Baler article. My reversion was based on my understanding of Philippine history regarding this topic. I note that you have also edit the Baler (film) article. I have not seen the film and have not changed those edits. I note that the film article describes the film as historical fiction. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 10:23, 18 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thank you for your edit. I normally always make it a point to provide an edit summary, must have been dozing off, sorry and thanks for the reminder. Regarding my edits: I didn't really remove the entire cite ref, I only meant to add the text "seven". But I did insert back the cite reference if you note the edits.

But you are correct about fact and fiction, the film Baler is a film, a historical account of real events, using fictional characters for the love story. The "57" Cazadores was the film's poetic license, but there may have been only 50. I haven't had the chance to read the book referenced. My mistake for mixing up the film and history. Thanks again.Pipamidalton (talk)

Can you investigate this user? This user Barneysss has already disrupted and ruined a lot of numerous articles related to Philippine teleseryes (including Kadenang Ginto page). He has a habit of restoring and reverting all edits from others users and editors. Barneysss is using the Wikipedia guidelines and rules as an "excuse" in order to "protect" all the pages he edits. I hope someone will stop this user. -120.29.73.66 (talk) 14:09, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Couple

[edit]

Hello! I noticed your change here and just wanted to point out that what you put in your edit summary isn't necessarily true: A couple can easily (and correctly) be treated as a singular noun (a couple does so, for instance), and therefore "the couple was expecting..." was by no means wrong. I don't know if this is a regional variation ~ i've lived with at least three English variants in use in my head, so i sometimes have trouble recognising them ~ but my main concern right now was to suggest that such a construction may not need correcting if you come across it again. Happy days ~ LindsayHello 05:30, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks and duly noted. You are right. The word “couple” is in most cases treated as a singular unit, when the context is for a pair that’s permanently so (as in singing duo ‘Chad & Jeremy’ or icon characters like ‘Tom & Gerry’ - when they are described as a couple). I treated John Legend and Chrissie Teiggen are a plural unit by virtue of their individual statures.

Having said that, your argument makes sense and thank you for pointing it out.Pipamidalton (talk) 13:40, 2 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
