Hi Qwekiop147, thanks for uploading File:Kelvin High School.jpg. I've copied it to Wikimedia Commons so it can be used on other wikis as well. :) Mathonius (talk) 11:42, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Kelvin High School 1912 building.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 17:13, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry. I didn't realize when I uploaded that picture that a non-commercial license isn't okay for Wikipedia. That image should be deleted. --qwekiop147 --> user, talk 21:55, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Twitter, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Android (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 16:16, 7 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Coordinates

[edit]

When you add the {{coord}} template to an article, the proper syntax for the type parameter is "type:XXXXX". You're leaving out the "type:" part. Full instructions for the use of the template are at Wikipedia:WikiProject Geographical coordinates#Implementation details. Deor (talk) 10:36, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for fixing the coordinates. Sorry, I didn't know that information. --qwekiop147 --> user, talk 21:39, 18 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Canadian radio stations

[edit]

About a month ago, you asked on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Geographical coordinates whether there is a resource for finding coordinates of Canadian stations. This seems to work pretty well; just enter the station's call letters in the "Call sign" box, and remember to select "in Canada Database" in the menu to the right of the box. The text of each station entry contains coordinates—from the couple I checked, they seem to be transmitter/antenna coordinates. Deor (talk) 23:53, 14 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much! I will use this. --qwekiop147talk 23:51, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Wikipedia 15 in Winnipeg

Wikipedia is celebrating its 15th birthday on January 15, 2016. I have thought for a while that it would be neat to meet some local wikipedians. According to the wikipedians in Winnipeg or Wikipedians in Manitoba category you are one of us. I am contacting people in this category to say: Let's celebrate this milestone. If you know other wikipedians, please ask them to join in as well.

I am posting this to your talk page as a transclude so that any updates will show up automatically.

Hope to see you there! Tenbergen (talk) 04:46, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

One other Winnipeg Wikipedian showed up, in addition to a number of regular skullspace members. It was nice to actually talk to someone else who has worked with Mediawiki and actually "gets" transclusion. Cake was eaten! Tenbergen (talk) 06:37, 16 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Aw, apparently I haven't logged in to Wikipedia in over 6 years and I totally missed this message and the event! I guessed I missed any 20 year celebration, too. Let me know if you end up doing a 25 year one. :) Clayton Rumley (talk) 22:52, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
