AfD on Jonathan Callan

AfD nomination of Jonathan Callan

[edit]

An editor has nominated Jonathan Callan, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jonathan Callan and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. cab 05:54, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Just a note, here. If Mr. Callan really is notable, you need to come up with more resources. Read up on this, this, and this for starters, and for this case, this will very much apply, as Mr. Callan is a live person. These are the standards this article must meet. I'm pointing this out for one important reason: you've done a lot of trying to explain your side of the delete argument (i.e., don't delete), but you haven't done a whole lot to improve the article since it's gone up for the AfD nomination. As for the other "don't delete" votes, note that accounts that suddenly pop up to defend without making changes and only have the vote (and little, if anything, else in edits) are suspect. Read WP:SOCK for the Wikipedia policy on this as well as some insight on the problem. In short, you need to change our mind - and defending it without modifying it is not going to do that. --Dennisthe2 01:36, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
