June 2016

[edit]

Hello, I'm Oshwah. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Manny (Ice Age)  with this edit, without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 03:56, 25 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I'm not sure why you made this edit. Thanks. Magnolia677 (talk) 20:29, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There's already an article named Gail Johnson, and the geobox features automatic wikilinking. Gail Johnson, listed as the Village president of Oswego, Illinois, is NOT the same as Gail Johnson, an American synchronized swimmer competitor. I hope that clarifies up the change I made for you. :-) -SomeoneNamedDerek (talk) 20:36, 21 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Denial

[edit]

"The explosion was part of a violent week for Germany. On Friday, nine people were killed by an 18-year-old Iranian-German gunman who then killed himself. That attack had no overt terrorist ties, the authorities said.

Last Monday, a young Afghan refugee wielding an ax and a knife on a passenger train wounded five people in the name of the Islamic State. And earlier on Sunday, a 21-year-old Syrian refugee killed a woman with a machete, an attack officials said they believed was linked to “relationship troubles.”

The authorities said it was too soon to ascribe a motive to the Ansbach attack, but at least seven jihadist and pro-Islamic State channels on Telegram, a secure messaging app, promoted images of the explosion."

... and your point is? Sorry, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be in denial for, because that's a reliable source and those are seemingly true statements. —SomeoneNamedDerek (talk) 04:04, 25 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Edits to Grey (musical duo)

[edit]

You recently expanded the discography section at Grey (musical duo) and added Australian and New Zealand columns, with links pointing to australian-charts.com and charts.org.nz, Hung Medien's sites that update several days after the official chart sites for each do. They haven't updated with their new peaks yet. Please make sure the peaks you add are at the sources provided. Ss112 15:45, 4 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hey! How's it going Derek? If you wouldn't mind and perhaps had some free time on your hands, could you take a look at this featured article candidate for me and maybe leave some comments? If you are not interested I would not be offended. Thank you very much. Regards, Carbrera (talk) 03:03, 9 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]

I should be able to comment on the candidate in about a day or so. Best of luck! —SomeoneNamedDerek (talk) 03:49, 10 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much! I just finished editing the article with your suggestions! Feel free to take another glance and leave your final opinion! It means a lot to me! Regards, Carbrera (talk) 16:14, 10 September 2016 (UTC).[reply]

Can you take over the page if insist. 123.136.111.244 (talk) 15:26, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'll take a look at it, but just know that everyone can edit and collaborate on Wikipedia and that there is no such thing as "taking over" a page haha. —SomeoneNamedDerek (talk) 17:47, 25 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The file File:Ghostbusters - Score Album.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free cover art being used in a WP:DECORATIVE manner in Ghostbusters (2016 film)#Score. Non-free album covers for movie soundtracks are generally allowed to be used for primary indentification purposes in a stand-alone article about the album in question, but their non-free use in other articles requires a much stronger justification as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note#3. This type of non-free use is also not considered acceptable per WP:FILMSCORE.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:28, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The above also applies to File:Ghostbusters 2016 - Album.jpg. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:28, 5 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
