Edit summaries

[edit]

Hello, It would help other editors understand the purpose of your changes if you could routinely provide edit summaries.--Johnsoniensis (talk) 19:26, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

August 2021

[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Escape Orbit (Talk) 19:35, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay thanks for letting me know, I will do so 😊 Susan1621 (talk) 20:54, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I came here to say the same. For instance, I wasn't clear why you changed the date of the BLP sources maintenance tag here. Edit summaries would be helpful. Best wishes, Tacyarg (talk) 00:24, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, when you add people to the Deaths in 2021 page, please note that they should be in alphabetical order under each day. Thank you. --Marbe166 (talk) 16:43, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Okay no problem thanks for letting me know Susan1621 (talk) 16:51, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A request for civility

[edit]

Hi @Susan1621:, writing you this message in good faith and hoping for a respectable response. I do not "have it in for you". I have a lot of pages on my watchlist and if I see something has been done wrong, or can be improved, I will do so. As such, you have no reason to be offended if I change some of your edits, but in the case of Bernie Clifton, your original research was just 100% plain wrong. He is not in his early 90s – that much is obvious. Other things like changing the dates on maintenance tags is just disruptive, and I've reverted a number of these edits from you and yet you persist with it. I'm trying to help you along, and this is the only time I'm willing to try and make peace with you on here. You were banned from editing by admins under an old username several months ago. If you continue to take an aggressive tone with me, and don't take a measured approach to editing, it will be an insta ban for creating a sock puppet account. Your decision. Thanks --Jkaharper (talk) 21:27, 1 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Jkaharper: Hi and thank you for coming here to leave this message. I accept your request for civility for the sake of Wikipedia, as I'm sure we can agree that the main aim of all users on here should be to ensure the accuracy of all articles. I was just a bit confused that when I used the freeBMD source that you reverted it and then went on to use it yourself in a separate article. Also I am even more confused by this continued allegation of a 'sockpuppet' account; I have never edited Wikipedia before in any 'guise' so would appreciate if you could withdraw this allegation. Apart from that, I agree to your request for the sake of upholding Wikipedia's reputation. Thanks Susan1621 (talk) 18:47, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Complaint of conduct raised on BLP noticeboard

[edit]

Hi @Susan1621:, I have made a case against you at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard following your vandalism of the Clifford Pember page, after their relatives got in touch via my talk page. --Jkaharper (talk) 18:40, 25 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet
