Request reason:

Caught by an IP range block. Since yesterday, IPs of Wikimedia Foundation have been blocked by Great firewall and modifying hosts file (against DNS pollution) is no longer effective for accessing Wikipedia. I have to use a private proxy to visit Wikipedia and I have been granted Global IPBE and local IPBE on zhwp (no longer need the latter one since my IP was unblocked). Thank you! Tiger (Talk) 03:23, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

This is just pending check user verification (probably within the next couple hours). Once that is completed, we will move from there. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused so far Tigerzeng. --TheSandDoctor Talk 06:37, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@TheSandDoctor: Looks good, I've applied IPBE for one year - TNT 09:00, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

IP block exempt

[edit]

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked (through the use of CheckUser) periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. - TNT 08:58, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Tigerzeng: I have applied IPBE for one year, after which you will need to apply again - TNT 09:00, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@There'sNoTime: Got it, thank you!--Tiger (Talk) 09:57, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

SPI

[edit]

Can you create sockpuppet investigations casepage for Singaporean IPs 116.89.21.207 and 111.65.56.243. -- 113.210.192.114 (talk) 02:38, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure whether an SPI is really needed because apparently they are the same person. Anyway, I posted it to WP:HD.--Tiger (Talk) 03:43, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you revert my edit?

[edit]

Tigerzeng, I don't understand why my edit on Slum was reverted. Please explain. 219.77.58.50 (talk) 02:09, 1 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive user on MiHoYo

[edit]

Well thanks a lot for helping me out here, reporting the user to AIV. I had just finished writing up a report on AN/I when this user had already been blocked after you reported them earlier. Appreciated! AP 499D25 (talk) 13:23, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Can you keep an eye of the IP range? Looks like a Chinese sock zh:User:Rem Gatch. 183.171.121.87 (talk) 04:06, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Will do. Tiger (Talk) 17:35, 29 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Revert-warring with LTAs

[edit]

Hey, saw your edits at User talk:HualinXMN5. I would strongly recommend against edit-warring with LTA socks, especially outside of mainspace, per WP:DENY: it's a waste of time and gives the vandal the unnecessary attention that they desire. Pinging Lemonaka as well, as they also shouldn't be doing this. Just sharing some advice I've got from others elsewhere. Cheers! JavaHurricane 12:45, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@JavaHurricane Wow, this is the advice I introduced to Wikiquote as a pattern, and I triggered it. This is just as Bible said, "And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?"--Matthew 7:3 -Lemonaka‎ 12:50, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct. But in this case it didn't take me any effort at all. I'm fully aware of what you meant by DENY and said things like you did to someone yelling at admins on IRC LOL. Anyway there was something I could have done better in this event and thank you. Tiger (Talk) 13:01, 29 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
